Robert Owen Memorial Museum

The museum is just a few feet from the place where Robert Owen was born in 1771, and where he died in 1858.
The museum is set out in a domestic style which shows pictures and personal belongings of Robert Owen to good effect. But the museum also tells the story of how a Newtown boy of modest means became one of the most influential thinkers and social reformers of his age.
The museum is in the centre of Newtown opposite the Town Clock. Other things to see in Newtown include Robert Owen's Tomb, his statue and the Textile Museum.
