Sherbrooke Castle Hotel near Glasgow: Glasgow Hotels

Good Points: Excellent

Good Points: The period building, well chosen furnishings, curtains carpets etc, plus this hotel had lots of atmosphere.
Bad Points: Only a small quibble, but we were very warm in our bedroom even with the heating turned off.
Further Comments: One of the reasons we chose this hotel was its proximity to public transport. The train was less than five minutes walk from the hotel and one stop from Glasgow central. Good parking, as we like to leave the car and use public transport, excellent food, very helpful staff; we would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.

Good Points: Spacious, recently refurbished and very comfortable room
Further Comments: Sherbrooke Castle is very accessible from the motorway. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The food was excellent and the helpings generous. Staff were very friendly. We had a truly relaxing stay and will certainly return here on our next trip to Glasgow.

Bad Points: Hot water did not work properly in the morning.
Further Comments: Wonderfully picturesque hotel in a very nice part of the city. The city centre but was easily accessible using public transport. Very helpful staff. The room was of excellent quality for the price paid and the breakfast was good too. The only complaint was that the hot water did not work properly in the morning - which is a rather basic requirement for a hotel.
