Best Western Red Lion Hotel near Salisbury: Salisbury Hotels

Good Points: Close to the Town Centre, very clean hotel with attentive staff. Food was reasonably good. Brakfast was great.
Bad Points: Hotel is on a cross roads and it would appear near Bars and clubs, so at around 2pm it can be quite noisy. Room 84 either has the main water or sewage down pipe and was very noisy at times.
Further Comments: The hotel is very pleasan with some lovely featuers. It has one main lounge which is open to the general public and gets extremely busy around lunch time, in fact, we could find nowhere to sit either in the lounge or bar after checking in. I would have hoped for an area especially for guests, but it was not the case so we ventured elsewhere and had some lunch. As previously stated, the hotel can be very noisy because of its location, but this should not put you off staying. Room 84 is a noisy room owing to the fact that there is a water / sewage or heating pipe for the hotel located within close proximity or possibly within the room itslef. Therefore, when the heating was swithced on or water or whatever, there was a very noisy sound of rucshing liquid which woke me at least 6 times during the course of the night. I would suggest that if you are a light sleeper, you ask for a different room thatn 84, although they may all be the same! Overall, a very pleasant hotel, with attentive staff and a very warm amibience.
