Linden Lodge near York: York Hotels

Good Points: Very friendly receptionist. Room spotless, warm and comfortable.
Bad Points: Only problem was breakfast was served from 8.30 and although cereals were left out for me to eat earlier, it's not ideal. Otherwise I was very happy.
Further Comments: I had to stay 1 night in York and wanted a clean, comfortable place to sleep. Nothing more. This hotel provided everything I needed and seemed very friendly. Room was spotless with shower, towels etc. I would have liked a cooked breakfast at 7am but that's the only thing the place didn't provide me. I would happliy stay there again.

Good Points: IT WAS CLEAN, THE OWNERS WERE HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR THEM.
Bad Points: NOTHING
Further Comments: We were given a warm welcome when we arrived, the owners were very informative and advised us as to where we might like to go and what we might be interested in as first timers in York. The rooms were adequate and spotlessly clean. most of all, the owners had taken notice of dietary requests and the fact that my wife is a vegan so prior to us arriving had gone out and purchased soya milk for her to have with her breakfast. We've never had such a personal service and this was much appreciated.

Good Points: The hotel was very convenient for the city centre.
Bad Points: The bathroom had a noisy sani-flow system with an unfortunate smell!
Further Comments: The hotel was a ten minute walk into the city. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast good. The family room we stayed in was spacious and well equipped. We were disappointed, however, with the bathroom which was not very clean-there was old soap in the shower, dust and hair around the skirting boards.Because (I think) of the sani-flow system there was a terrible smell which resulted in us using the shower room in the corridor. The double room two of our party had, however, didnot have this problem.

Bad Points: location of bedroom(ground floor,next to front door)
Further Comments: Very friendly staff, exceptionally clean,good breakfast,10 mins walk from city centre.Ground floor bedroom(room 15) not a good idea expecially next to the front door,it didnt feel very private and with people in and out all the time it was very disturbing.

Bad Points: the shower in the en suite was a tad on the weak side
Further Comments: The presentation of the hotel was excellent The staff were welcoming helpful and curtious. I would have no hestitaion in recommending the hotel to friends and family.

Good Points: nice and clean.
Further Comments: The hotel was in a good location, only a 5 minute walk from the city walls. The room was nice and clean and all the staff were polite and helpfull. The breakfast was good too, with a good choice, 8am-9am(possibly a bit too early with a hangover though!). Overall a nice hotel and would stay again on another trip to york.

Good Points: It was very clean and the service and the food was excellent
Further Comments: The staff were very friendly and would not hesitate to stay there again, it was on a nice quiet street and the location was perfect, my husband is blind and was accomadated by his guide dog who was made very welcome.
