Bodidris Hall near Chester: Chester Hotels

Good Points: the hotel we originally booked (Bodidris Hall) was full but they kindly arranged an alternative booking at their sister hotel: The Wild Pheasant in Llangollen.
Bad Points: we were unable to use the leisure facilities as the pool was full and did not become empty for us to use while we were there; the breakfast dishes were not cleared from our table when we finished with them causing the table to be very cluttered
Further Comments: we still enjoyed our break!!!

Good Points: it excellent for break getaway from everything so peaceful here i do love the decor & ornament (be english)my husband&i will looking for similar thing to decarate our house in thailand .
Further Comments: it take us about 6 hours travel but it well worth it .

Good Points: Peaceful and pleasant rural surroundings. Comfortable and spacious bar area. Lounge (study) free of piped music. Meals of high quality in atmospheric restaurant. Ample portions and attractively presented.
Bad Points: Bathroom carpet could have done with another going over with the vacuum cleaner. As expected in such an old building, bedroom floor was on different levels - easy to forget and trip up steps.
Further Comments: Very good choice for a quiet getaway yet not far from Llangollen. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable in every respect. We would definitely go again.

Good Points: Unusual hotel in the middle of nowhere. Had a big wow factor. Excellent breakfast on both days.
Bad Points: Bath and taps appeared oily. Fresh yellow stains of cleaning agent still on the sink- hopefully this was just a one off. Wouldn't recommend dinner -(1st night:good menu but potatoes not mashed properly & dessert was crystallised, 2nd night: had to waste the main meal)
Further Comments: Overall good experience and despite above would still strongly recommend to anyone for a quiet break.

Good Points: It was clean, friendly and a superb place, I cant wait to go back
Further Comments: The hotel is stunning and a must for everyone. The staff were warm and friendly and as couple that use hotels approx 30 times a year i must say that this was the best by far that we have stayed in. Superb hotel, staff and stay
