Further Comments: Good hotel - great value, conviniently situated with a good friendly bar. Ideal.

Bad Points: The fact that breakfast was supposed to be served on the Sunday morning and wasn't and that all the guests were left unattended in a pub without a single member of staff . The guests were the only people present in the building !!!!
Further Comments: In general I would not sta at the Douglas Vaults ever again . The rooms were too basic . The services specified were not given and the staff were no where to be found the next day !!

Good Points: The friendly atmosphere and central location.
Bad Points: The outside appearance of the accomodation.
Further Comments: At the time of our visit credit cards were not accepted but a bank is located directly opposite.The rooms are situated on the upper floors of a pub and it is obvious that a lot of money and effort has been expended into the refurbishment of the 200 year old building. There is still a lot of work to be done but the friendly, helpful manner of the owner and also the locals made this an interesting and relaxing stay. We would certainly return.
