Good Points: Rooms were very clean and attractively decorated, staff were friendly and very helpful.
Bad Points: No hairdryer was available in either room although the staff did find one for me. Piped music in the bar.
Further Comments: Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the Inn is situated in an ideal location for exploring the Peak District. Food from the bar was excellent. The rooms are small but well designed and attractively decorated. We had to ask for the fan to be turned off in/or above our room as this ran constantly, but the manager was very helpful and keen to sort out the problem. If we were in this area we would happily book this hotel again.

Good Points: Well appointed clean and comfortable. Friendly and attentive staff and good quality well presented food.
Bad Points: Bathroom could have been better appointed as toilet and sink were too close together and lighting above sink was inadequate. Mixer tap for shower was ok but I've had easier ones.
Further Comments: Overall a very nice place to stay and I'm sure that on a good weather day the views could be stunning.

Good Points: Beautiful location, and very friendly staff and ambient surroundings.
Further Comments: The hotel was very nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I booked rather late and they didn't know of my existence when I arrived, but left me in the bar with a drink and a room was ready in ten minutes; the room was newly-decorated and very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely. I understand this hotel has recently been renovated: it is in a beautiful location. As I was on business in Sheffield and came in by train, it was a little inaccessible, but if I was travelling to the city by car I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Good Points: Rural location and good selection in menu. Friendly staff who were prompt to respond.
Bad Points: Bedroom and bathroom not kitted out as well as might have been expected.
Further Comments: Overall it was a good and enjoyable stay, and we would certainly return if visiting the area again.

Good Points: The room, in the converted stable block, was very warm, comfortable and well decorated. A great mix of modern facilities and decor within an old building.
Further Comments: This hotel has been recently created from a delightful stone-built coaching inn. It is very well placed for both urban Sheffield and the magnificent Peak District. All the staff were both courteous and friendly and (literally) went out of their way to help us in every way they could. We had an excellent cooked breakfast (meaty sausages, thick old fashioned bacon, flat mushrooms, proper black pudding etc) and the charming dining room waitress was careful to find out just what we wanted. We also had a very good bar dinner on the first night of our stay. Altogether an excellent choice.
