| Good Points:
This hotel is in an idyllic location - quiet and rural. You feel like like you're miles from anywhere but you're only 15 minutes from the centre of Exeter.
The restaurant is first class and very reasonably priced considering the high quality of the food. The cooked breakfast is fantastic and uses local produce.
The owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful. |

The only gripe is that the bathrooms are a little bit tired and dated. Everything works ok though. There's no wifi internet either (the walls are 2 feet thick in places and you can't get a signal). |
| Further Comments: This place is exactly what I need when staying away on business. It's a little oasis of old English peace and charm to get away from the frantic pace of the 21st century. I've got several more trips down to Exeter coming up and I'll definitely be staying at the Barton Cross. If there's room of course. |

| Good Points:
Excellent room, quiet, spotless, comfortable. Great breakfast. Gracious host. A perfect setting in the country. We'll stay here in future whenever we visit Exeter. |
