Colson House near Brighton: Brighton Hotels

Good Points: The room was spacious and clean. The owner was extremely helpful.
Bad Points: Parking can be difficult if you are driving a car. Spaces are not abundant.

Good Points: Interesting and imaginatively themed decor complete with DVD and high quality TV flat-screen. Very convenient position within walking distance of all facilities.
Bad Points: Inadequate shower and rather cramped for two average-sized people.
Further Comments: Within walking distance of many local attractions, shops and seafront, this hotel offers very good value for money, with imaginatively-themed decor (the rooms are named after film stars and decorated to match) and DVDs of the nominated celebrity. The room was clean, simple and comfortable, although the shower was weak, the bathroom having a rather noisy fan and lacking natural light. For two people the room was rather small; as a single room it would be perfect. We received a cheerful and friendly welcome and encouragement to come and go as we wished. Breakfast was excellent.
