Good Points: Nothing was too much trouble, the manager Adrian was so much help, in all that we wanted or did.
Bad Points: the dislike was that we were not stopping longer.
Further Comments: Having stayed in Holiday Inn's elsewhere, we knew we would get good service, but it was mainly the enthusiam of Adrian the manager that all was shown as to getting more than just a hotel stay.

Good Points: The relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Further Comments: The rooms were clean and tidy with hairdryer, iron and staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the three nights we were there and the food was excellent. The pool was lovely and warm and the facilities clean and tidy. We stayed here some 10 years ago and it is one of the Holiday Inn venues that we would highly recommend.

Good Points: Clean, comfortable rooms; choice of pillows; excellent choice for breakfast;
Bad Points: I wish ALL hotels would put 2 chairs in the guest rooms.
Further Comments: We asked for a quiet, non-smoking room, and were completely satisfied. Staff were friendly & helpful. Excellent choice of food for breakfast. In addition, it was extremely good value for the 2 nights we stayed.

Good Points: The Hotel offered wonderful accommodation. We had a twin-bedded room with two double beds, which were blissfully comfortable. There was a choice of pillows for those prefering non-allergic or feather types. The bedroom and bathroom, which had a bath and powerful integral shower, were spotless and spacious.
Bad Points: There was nothing that we disliked
| Further Comments: A swift and easy check-in at this hotel where we and our labrador were kindly welcomed was much appreciated.
The hotel was easily accessible from the motorway but situated far enough away to be quiet and peaceful, so we slept very well. The hotel grounds were large for a major chain and were well-tended so the view from the bedroom was onto a pleasant lawn and we were able to take a stroll before retiring.
The leisure facilities, which included a good sized swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna, extremely good changing facilities with an abundance of fresh towels, were perfect.
Our dinner was reasonably priced and the food was imaginative and generally good. It was served by a very efficient and friendly waitress who skilfully negotiated her away around the extremely comfortable chairs. The dining-room was stylish but welcoming and the breakfasts were brilliant. The hot food was cooked in small amounts and replenished frequently so as not to suffer, since it was self-service, and the selection of fruit was generous and mouthwatering...figs, blackberries, blackcurrents and strawberries - amongst others - we lingered long and read our morning papers in well-fed contentment.
We have stayed in many hotels, other Holiday Inns and Hilton Hotels, all of which have always been at least satisfactory but the Holiday Inn at Telford was really special. We did not come across one member of staff who didn't smile and make us feel welcome and we have to say that we cannot remember having had a more happy and comfotable stay - anywhere - and at such a reasonable price. Wonderful - thank you !! |

Good Points: Nice room, good restaurant, great value (got a cheap overnight deal)
Bad Points: Room was a long way from reception, TV only had basic channels free
Further Comments: Really good hotel, and most aspects scored 7/8 out of 10. The only slight gripe I have is that you need to make a booking to use the gym/pool facilities and if it's available at the slot you book then you're in. But if many non-residents are already using the gym/pool when you want it you may not get to use these facilities. As a paying guest of the hotel I would have hoped to get priority but ho hum.

Good Points: Clean, spacious with all the facilities required
Bad Points: Limited channels on the TV
Further Comments: The hotel is conveniently located for a weekend break as it has easy access to the main tourist attractions in Ironbridge and the area. It is easy to find off the motorway network and yet it is quiet and restful at night.

Good Points: Clean, smart and well maintained.
| Further Comments: We will not hesitate to book this hotel for our future (regular) stays in Telford.
Although we only stayed one night, every aspect of the hotel was way above our expectations from the quality of the room, helpfulness of the staff and also the excellent breakfast. |
