| Good Points:
Pleasant rooms, light, well presented. Lovely furniture. |
| Bad Points:
Shower was not hot at all (in fact on one morning it was cold) and the remote didn't work. The remote problem was resolved but not the cold shower. |
| Further Comments: Excellent stay aside from the small problems noted above. The staff were attentive and helpful, particularly in the bar and dining room and the food was excellent and very good value. |

| Good Points:
Easy going and friendly staff. The food was excellent and the room facilities were more than adequate. |
| Bad Points:
Not enough tea and coffee provided and the cartons of cream for the coffee were sour. |

| Good Points:
The rooms were of a reasonable size. The restaurant was of good value and quality. Staff were friendly and approachable. |
| Bad Points:
There were 2 pillow cases in the bathroom sink on arrival. These were quickly removed when I mentioned it to the receptionist. A window was left open by the cleaners each day, which meant the room was freezing each evening on my return. Floor standing electric heater (efficient at heating the room but unsightly). |
| Further Comments: Overall, better than the majority of the big chain hotels and cheaper. I especially liked the location away from the main road. The only thing which might stop me staying there again in the future is the lack of Broadband Internet. Not a problem with this stay as I knew about it in advance. |

| Good Points:
Beautiful rooms and gardens
Excellent bathroom, with large jacuzzi bath |
| Bad Points:
Unable to get hot water in the evening due to the demand |
| Further Comments: This was a beautiful hotel. I liked the fact that the location was quiet, but it was still within a short drive from Chester and Ellesmere Port. The gardens were excellent, and I would like to go back in the summer to make the most of the outdoor space.
I found the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and polite. The cooked breakfast was nice, and just the right size, with a good selection of pastries, cereals and fruit supplied. The conservatory dining room was beautiful, and it was nice to eat breakfast whilst watching the wildlife out of the window. The room was lovely, and very clean. The bathroom was excellent, I particularly liked the fact that it had twin sinks and large Jacuzzi bath.
I was surprised that this hotel is only a three star as the facilities and services beat that of several four 4 star places that I have stayed.
We did encounter a few niggly problems whilst staying at the hotel, such as only being able to get warm water during the peak times, but nothing that was enough to ruin our stay at the hotel, or put us off coming back again. I would recommend this hotel for those that are looking for a relaxing short break. |

| Good Points:
Well decorated room, very clean with nice carved furniture. Nice view of the garden from the bedroom window. The hotel was well away from the main road and was very peaceful. |
| Bad Points:
Slightly lumpy matress, but nothing else. |

| Good Points:
We liked the fact that we were allocated to a suite as the toilet was inoperable in our original double room. The spa bath was massive but we did not have the time to use it on an overnight stay. The suite was very nice. |
| Bad Points:
The water was unclear for the kettle and looked very unhealthy. We were told it would soon run clear and it didn't so Reception provided us with a clean jug of water to make tea.
Then - the toilet cistern would not fill up so we had to change our room after unpacking everything. The suite we were allocated was very nice and clean but the beds needed new matresses. They were really uncomfortable. |
| Further Comments: We did not think there would be a problem with the plumbing or drinking water as it was only an overnight stay. Breakfast is only served until 10 am and the staff were clearing our table continually to get rid of us, as there was a Wedding Exhibition to take place at 11.30 am. This was annoying as we were trying to have a discussion with our family who also stayed overnight. |

| Good Points: quiet peacefull location comfortable rooms and friendly staff |
| Bad Points: fan heater in room very noisy, toilet rolls could have been softer! |
| Further Comments: Booked a suite on line which was not available due to being decorated ,I think this information should have been provided by the site taking reservations.
We were given a nice double room instead.
Overall a very nice hotel which I would use again and recommend to friends. |

| Good Points: The Hotel was very well situated for a short break in beautiful surroundings. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was well cooked and well presented. The room was comfortable and clean. |
| Bad Points: The heating and air conditioning was a bit temperemental and there was not enough hot water in the mornings for a shower. |
| Further Comments: Bfore travelling it would have been useful to know about the excellent public transport, which we are not used to down South! Also more information in the hotel about train and bus times, and more information, i.e. small maps and booklets about Chester and Liverpool. Would have been happy to pay for these in order to plan our days out. |

| Good Points: Clean hotel, very well decorated and to a high standard. Excellent facilities and staff. |
| Bad Points: Only small thing i could find was that the wall paper in the corners of the room was coming away from the wall slightly. Definetly not something that put me off or lessened my opinion of the hotel. |
| Further Comments: I was slightly weary of the hotel as there weren't many pictures avaliable, but all the reviews i could find point towards the fact that it was a good hotel to stay in.
Any doubt was washed away the moment we arrived, the Hotel is 10 minutes from Chester but still in the quiet countryside, the exterior of the hotel is nicely decorated with well maintained gardens and carp park. The interior is decorated to a high standard with the added bonus of a spa bath. The staff were extremely helpful and were happy to do all the could to help.
To make things better i paid ᅢツᅡᆪ50 for a double room! |

| Good Points: the quality of the hotel , decor, furnishings etc was excellent, as was the staff. |
| Bad Points: the bed was uncomfortable, and I found the restaurant very expensive. I will not use this hotel again unless they change the mattresses. |
| Further Comments: The booking process was very good, and the information given useful and accurate. I found the bed and breakfast part of the stay very good value, except for the bed. I would recommend this hotel and use it again if and when they make the beds more comfortable. |
