Good Points: The bedromm was clean, spacious, and very comfortable - shower excellent
Bad Points: The breakfast experience was appalling in every way - would not repeat it
Further Comments: Overall the hotel was good value for money - clean and comfortable. However, breakfast was very poor - service inadequate to say the least - tea and coffee cold - had to find our way ourselves, as no one around to assist. Cooked breakfast greasy and thrown on the plate - toast pale and limp - a major let down after the complete contrast of the accomodation. However, the lovely lady on reception was most apologetic and we were not charged for breakfast. If we were to stay again, we would book room only this problem is addressed, but I am sure it will be!

Good Points: friendly and helpful staff.
Further Comments: May be we should have been told about the building work going on, but it didn't spoil our sleep work didn't start early.Hope to go back when all building work is finished to see what it like.Hope the staff remain the same very helpful.

Good Points: Value for Money
Bad Points: Ongoing works made it a distant for my disabled mother to walk round to the dining room
Further Comments: We were placed on the ground floor but were very far from reception.This meant that the added journey round the other building was to much for my mum and she became breathless. Had I known this distance were to have been the case I would not have stayed,However,all staff were nice and polite,the room was clean and tidy and the food was good.

Good Points: The room was newly refurbished and to a very good level
Bad Points: Some of the refurbishments were so new that they weren't yet working such as the heated towel rail which was not wired in
Further Comments: There is a fair bit of upheaval at this hotel as building work is still ongoing and the new rooms are in a different block to the restaurant and bar The car park is not completed and parking was somewhat disorganised creating some issues when leaving trying to manouver (I did have a trailer attached) Notwithstanding these issues the hotel was pleasant and clean and I didn't hear any building noise

Good Points: The room was comfortable, the sheets and towels good quality, the TV worked and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent!
Bad Points: Having to go outside and walk around the building for breakfast
Further Comments: The information given before booking was accurate. The staff were pleasant and courteous. The room was a reasonable size and the facilities adequate. The bed was very comfortable and the linen of good quality. Plenty of hot water and a good size bath. The price included an excellent breakfast and certainly good value for money!
