Bad Points: Too far from town centre
Further Comments: ok, but spoilt our stay as we were misinformed as to whereabouts of hotel when booking with hotel.com

Good Points: Room was nice and tidy clean well presented enjoyed my stay
Bad Points: room was far to hot even with windows open to warm could do with air con plus for price though would have had breakfast some places not as dear but still get breakfast.
Further Comments: Filled the purpose for what i needed and at very short notice room was exellent could not complain on that, booking in guy did not seem to know much when asked seemed unsure and nevours

Good Points: Excellent facilities, very convenient for motorway and Durham City centre.Lovely room and helpful staff.
Bad Points: Cafe was very noisy - lots of children running about. Not really very pleasant to eat in.
Further Comments: Very enjoyable.

Bad Points: Most things.
Further Comments: Small room, rubbish still in bin from previous occupants, very smelly bathroom, had expected a bath as we had a small grandchild with us but no mention of there being only a shower when I spoke to someone after my online booking. Pillows as hard as bricks. Kettle on shelf at small child level. Single bed under a window that a child could push wide open and had no restriction on it. It was open when we entered the room so just as well we checked it immediately. No phone in room so if needing staff had to go looking for someone as there wasn't always anyone around on the recepion desk. Very inconvenient having to walk across a car park to get a meal and then sit among folk who were damp from the swimming pool and sweaty from the gym.

Further Comments: The hotel was clean and the staff was quite lovely. They were able to help with food delivery recommendations. The rooms were always clean and they made up the sofa bed for me in a jiffy. The Cafe Bar had delicious and healthy food and was always prepared quickly. Wouldn't say it was walking disatance to the city center but was a quick taxi ride and was 6.80 pounds. I would recommend Paddys Taxi always quick and friendly staff. Would stay there again if I had a need to go back to Durham.

Bad Points: directions, choice of teas and coffees in room, noise of toilet fan
Further Comments: ideal place to use as a base for exploring durham and other areas of the north east, good service and health club offers, lovely big room and quality/tidiness

Good Points: Generally clean, comfortable bed, good shower
Bad Points: Bed sheet did not cover the mattress fully
Further Comments: Did what it said on the tin. We didn't use the health club facilities but it is a plus. Make sure you specify non smoking if thats what you want, we missed that when booking but fortunately the girl on duty was able to move us. 30 min walk into Town straight down the road(it didn't rain!)

Good Points: Clean functional rooms
Bad Points: The leisure facilities were poor. The steam room was filthy and smelt of stale sweat.
Further Comments: Booked this hotel rather than in city for the leisure facilities. Wish I had not bothered and stayed in the centre as the leisure facilities were not very clean.

Further Comments: Upon searching for this type of accommodation the first thing that popped up was this particular hotel which was to me specific requirements. Although the map did not show the distance from and to the city center which was quite the distance, however that did not disturb the overall experience of the city nor the time spent at the hotel.

Good Points: Disabled room very spacious
Further Comments: The only problem we had was when we arrived the computer had the wrong night on the system of when we were staying, we had confirmation from the online system of the correct night, so we were put in the disabled room, which actually turned out to be very spacious. My only concern is when we come to book again will it be for the correct night. This time we were lucky the hotel had spare rooms. I would need to check the booking by phone as well as online in the future.

Good Points: it was comfortable and clean
Bad Points: the gym and pool were closed early due to the new year,we hoped they could have been left open till at least 6pm.
Further Comments: same as above, should have been told that these were closed early, and also that there was no were to get a meal this was also closed.
