Braemount House near Windermere: Windermere Hotels

Good Points: Excellent hosts, food outstanding in quality/choice and accommodation very clean and comfortable (lovely beds). Location of hotel was very good.
Further Comments: Had a lovely short break at this hotel, was made to feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble (but not intrusive)and will definitely be staying again, just what was needed. Location was a short walk to all the bars and good restaurants in both Bowness and Windermere etc but quiet location when back at hotel.

Good Points: the hotel is first class as well as the hosts we could not fault anything about our stay from checking in we were presented with glasses of wine and given info ranging from nice walks to good places to dine the breakfast was excellent with fresh brewed coffee and a full range of breakfast on offer we wouldnt hesitate to return or recommend our friends

Good Points: The proximity to local shops and services is great.
Bad Points: The view from the bedroom window was a roof
Further Comments: The view from my bedroom was a roof, if i had known this before hand i could have requested a room with a view, this did not detract from the pleasent stay and overall expierience of the accomodation for me. The room itself was small but well furnished with a large bed and on suite facilities. Paul and Debbie are friendly and do stress that should you need anything to just ask. The area ia very quiet and yet only a few minuets from the local town. I had no problems parking the car as there is space for about five cars at the rear of the building, and space for another two at the side. You can also park in the road which as i have mentioned is very quiet. The breakfast was excelent. A choice of cereals and juices as well as toast and a full english you may need a sleep before attempting any walking. In your room there is a welcome stating that it is hoped you will go away as a friend. I have to say Debbie and Paul do make you feel you are a friend and not a guest.

Good Points: It was really clean and comfortable.
Further Comments: We would gladly stay there again. It was quiet, clean and friendly.

Good Points: The room was warm with a very comfortable bed and I liked the idea of a seperate room with a sofa and t.v./dvd
Bad Points: Everything was just perfect
Further Comments: Great hosts, cake and coffee on arrival, chocs on the pillows each night, free use of dvds, within easy walking distance to Windemere town centre and Bowness, hearty breakfast what more could anyone ask for. We will definitely make a return visit.

Good Points: Accommodation was clean and relatively quiet
Bad Points: The lecture the owner gave if you were a smoker!
Further Comments: Overall the room was really nice, relatively quiet although being downstairs at the front you heard everyone coming in and out. Kitchen was right next to our room so you could hear even if they put the kettle on. Not disturbed much though.

Bad Points: building work ongoing outside window, i.e. a pekker breaking the rocks meant unable to use room comfortably during day.
Further Comments: Ideally placed for access to Bowness and Windermere. Did not get informed of building works before arrival. Parking restricted for 2 days because of building work. Generally not as relaxing as it should have been.

Good Points: Friendly, inviting, cosy. A lovely welcome when we arrived. Shops, restaurants and the lake just a 5 minute stroll away
