Good Points: Excellent shower & evening meal was excellent included in the reservation price

Good Points: Comfortable bed, generous sized apartment, adequately equipped, clean.
Bad Points: Smell of damp and huge damp patch on bathroom ceiling. Only one bath towel for two people.
Further Comments: Several attempts failed to unlock the door of the room, the small, alternative room we were shown was not the apartment we had booked, and then the staff member left us feeling that the mistakes were our fault. The young waiter at breakfast was helpfu and polite but clearly overstretched. Breakfast was excellent.

Good Points: Not a huge room, but had everything that you needed. Very good shower.
Bad Points: Slightly stale smell when we first went into the room but after airing was OK
Further Comments: Excellent freshly cooked English breakfast. Parking was no problem. Only a short walk into the town. Hotel very easy to find.

Bad Points: TV too small. no lift. double room was two single beds pushed together.
Further Comments: when I book a double room, I expect a double bed. The TV was only 12 inch and was hard to see from the bed. Room was on the top floor with no lift.

Good Points: It was basick but comfortable and Clean.
Further Comments: The hotel is close to town just a little walk to all the shops,and a good central base for the local area.

Good Points: Value for money and location withing township.
Bad Points: Nothing noting the pricing.
Further Comments: Hotel provided value for money. Reception staff patient and cheerfully helpful. I liked the Terrace Restaurant for breakfast, and the food was up to expectations. I would stay at Alexandra again in preference, if accommodation is available. For the cost, there is nothing to dislike about the Alexandra's facilities and staff.

Further Comments: At meal on Friday 28.09.07 it took over an hour for the starters to arrive for our party of 3 . Only 2 out of 3 starters were served, and on request for the third, were told it would be a further 8 minutes (for smoked salmon and poached egg)!No chiller provided for white wine.English breakfast badly overburnt on Saturday morning and microwaved to reheat it, to add insult to injury. Waitress went awol for 20 mins and had to be winkled out by reception.Prebooked Sunday paper forgotten.Coffee and biscuits in room not replenished on Saturday.We dined elsewhere on Saturday night after such a rotten dining experience.The staff are very bored and undersupervised and present a very poor image for the company - a fault of management rather than anything else. It is impossible to recommend this hotel because of the staff inadequacies.

Bad Points: pay per view tv had not been reset from last guest. Was unable to watch any movies.
Further Comments: I found my stay very pleasant and relaxing. Cleanliness was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Morning Breakfast was very prompt and delicious. Will definately stay again.
