The Wheelwrights Arms near Bath: Bath Hotels

Good Points: I loved the olde worlde style with the slight modern twist and excellent decor throughout I stayed in Room 4 with a shower that I didn't want to leave as it was like a Tropical Rainforest!!
Bad Points: It was a shame that the Wi-Fi was not available in my room but the guys are going to check this out for future guests Also, as a business traveller I would have liked an area in which I could have worked on a laotop etc in the room but it gave me a great excuse not to for a change
Further Comments: Everything as above but I would like to add that the pub had a very good selection of Real Ales and wine and the food was gorgeous!! Overall, I had a great overnight stay and will be definately returning both for business and pleasure

Good Points: Beautiful scenery, quiet, and off the beaten track. Excellent old-style cottage rooms with large and luxury bathrooms. Modern satellite TV. Service was friendly and unobtrusive.
Bad Points: No real adverse comments. We arrived on Boxing Day and the pub was shut, but that suited us.
Further Comments: A very pleasant experience, and great for a quiet break in beautiful countryside. Not cheap, but the rooms were excellent and the service friendly.

Good Points: Beautiful scenery, quiet, and off the beaten track. Excellent old-style cottage rooms with large and luxury bathrooms. Modern satellite TV. Service was friendly and unobtrusive.
Bad Points: No real adverse comments. We arrived on Boxing Day and the pub was shut, but that suited us.
Further Comments: A very pleasant experience, and great for a quiet break in beautiful countryside. Not cheap, but the rooms were excellent and the service friendly.

Good Points: Very nice rooms in peacful surroundings
Further Comments: Nice relaxing accommodation in beautiful countryside surroundings but only a few miles from the centre of Bath. It was nice to be able to spend all day in Bath and then come back for a good meal at the restaurant in the evening, which meant none of our party had to worry about driving and we could have a relaxing evening.

Further Comments: Nice relaxing accommodation in beautiful countryside surroundings but only a few miles from the centre of Bath. Good Points: The ambience in the restaurant/bar was the best. The food was delicious and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was roomy and comfortable and the decor was excellent.
Bad Points: If I have to give a negative, it would be that the tv reception was poor but that could have been the weather because it was bad the w/e we stayed.
Further Comments: Our stay at this hotel was one of the best we've had and I must confess I am quite particular! Everything was very tasteful and of the best quality. Having the restaurant opposite was very convenient with the food and service excellent. The hotel is situated in lovely countryside and if the weather had been better, would have enjoyed sitting outside. We could not have asked for a more restful, comfortable stay.

Good Points: Airy,spacious,good sized bathroom,private entrance,comfortable beds,well maintained.
Further Comments: The hotel was informal with a welcoming atmosphere, the staff are friendly,helpful and very professional. Welcoming open fires even at breakfast time ! Excellent food using fresh produce, we noted the daily deliveries ! Set in beautiful countryside, lots of walking and points of interest. Of note, Bath University is close by with a park and ride bus terminus for the city of Bath which we found very useful.

Further Comments: Breakfast and dinner in the pub was excellent. Good parking and beautiful setting.

Good Points: This is a wonderful hotel, immaculate bedroom and luxurious bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and interesting, sitting by a log fire, looking out onto candlelit tables outside. We would highly recommend thwe Wheelwrights Arms and hope to stay there again sometime.
Bad Points: Absolutly nothing!If we were to be picky - which we are not, a blind at the shutterrred window would have been nice.

Good Points: Excellent in every way, particularly the attitude of the staff.
Bad Points: It would have been nice to have a curtain on the window,so that the room was not blacked out by the shutters whwen we wanted privacy. We did not bother to draw attention to this at the time.

The room and bathroom were very clean, light and airy and very peaceful. This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and will definately be staying there again
