Good Points: Very friendly staff. Food excellent and a good choice for breakfast

Further Comments: A very friendly hotel. Breakfast is plentiful and good and the hotel will allow takeaways to be eaten in the lounge (not bedrooms)and will provide cutlery/plates but drinks are bought from the hotel bar. The rooms have been modernised although not all the double rooms are of the same standard. Parking is available on the forecourt of the hotel. It is about a 30min walk into the city which takes you past a very good pub named the Hop Pole which provides excellent food.

Good Points: Our room was very nice and comfortable and the food was very good value for money
Further Comments: The only thing I would say that was disappointing was that the hotel was a little too far from the city centre. We walked every day there and back, and although that was good for us health wise, when it is raining, not too much fun.

Good Points: Location as was near our family and in reach of town. Hotel nice.
Bad Points: A bit noisy on that road.
Further Comments: Friendly staff; good breakfast; walking distance to town; lovely terrace in nice weather.

Good Points: High standard, lovely decorated rooms, very nice bathrooms, nice and quiet atmosphere, good breakfast...
Bad Points: A little bit too far to walk to the city centre. Small rooms (particularly the twin room). Some noise from the corridor, particualarly in the room at the top of the stairs.
Further Comments: A very nice quiet hotel with a lovely back garden (a pity we could not use the pool at this time of the year). Lovely decorated rooms (although quite small). Friendly atmosphere.

Good Points: Nice decor to communal parts of the hotel. Although no restaurant two takeaways within a short walk and hotel happy to provide cutlery and china to eat in dining room. Rather nice. Cosy bar area and newspapers available.
Bad Points: Rather noisy in the front room we were in. Also a strange smell which we reported.
