Further Comments: This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in in England. The long walk into Hereford for an evening meal was a nuisance because of the bad weather during our stay. We could have taken a taxi but we preferred the exercise. There should be more specific information about places to eat included in the literature in the room. Locations, maps, menus and prices would be helpful.

Good Points: Lovely room which was quiet adequate parking and within walking distance of the city
Bad Points: The shower could not regulated properly and did not have a good pressure
Further Comments: Good accommodation which was in an excellent position to walk into Hereford. It was quiet and the breakfast was excellent. The room was lovely except for the problems with the showere which the new owners said they were going to rectify with a new boiler.

Further Comments: We were made very welcome by the staff and owners. The information packs in the room were very informative and, as strangers to the town, proved helpful. The breakfast was GREAT - the service friendly, professional and done with style and warmth. Decor attractive without being overpowering. We would certainly return if in the area. There were no issues about the accommodation that we would have wanted to have known beforehand.

Further Comments: We were made very welcome by the staff and owners. The information packs in the room were very informative and, as strangers to the town, proved helpful. The breakfast was GREAT - the service friendly, professional and done with style and warmth. Decor attractive without being overpowering. We would certainly return if in the area. There were no issues about the accommodation that we would have wanted to have known beforehand.

Further Comments: A really great place to stay. good location and the accomodation and food were excellent. Unfortunately we were usble to get a wi-fi internet connection i n our room and there was no hairdryer in the room - in all fairness we didn't report this to the hotel and therefore we did not give them the opportuntiy to rectify these 2 things. We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending thsi hotel

Good Points: easy access for city centre and local attractions without the need for using public transport.
Further Comments: room was too small.the staff were friendly and room was kept clean daily including the change of towels.the morning breakfast was excellent.an easy walk into city centre without the need for public transport and or taxis.

Good Points: Excellent, comfortable room. Huge bed. Good quality food at breakfast. Convenient and quiet location of the hotel
Bad Points: TV controls didn't work. Too many electric wires in a jumble connecting to adapters. No shelf space for personal items in bathroom
Further Comments: A clean, comfortable, pleasant guest house which serves a very tasty breakfast. It is within convenient walking distance of the station and town centre. It is well cared-for, pleaantly-decorated and furnished and certainly clean. Perhaps it is on the expensive side.

Good Points: Lovely interior design to hotel and rooms. Gave a very homely atomosphere. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great choice for breakfast.
Bad Points: A hotel restaurant for evening meal would have been a nice option.

Good Points: Modern decor, newly refurbished. Good location, great view over the garden. I loved the fact that there was a mini-bar - it's unusual in a B&B - even though we didn't use much of it.
Bad Points: Not keen on having a room on the ground floor. The noise of people in the the room above kept us awake. The shower cubicle was very small and there was no bath. There was a wardrobe, but no chest of drawers for storing clothes. There were no tissues provided. There was no storage space for toiletries in the bathroom.
Further Comments: We had a great time and enjoyed our stay, the cathedral is beautiful and there are some interesting shops in Hereford, the farmer's market on Saturday was good. We had a few niggles with the accommodation; when paying for 5 star accommodation, one expects a very high standard. I would have liked to have known the exact specifications of each room and to have been able to choose which room to book - I prefer a bath to a shower and we only had a shower room. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were welcoming and very friendly. If you enjoy walking the surrounding areas - Wye Valley and Welsh Marches are brilliant. Especially the Mortimer Trail. Take a good pub guide with you - most of the recommended ones are excellent.
