| Good Points:
hotel in good position. Food was the best we have had on a hotel in that area.
Very helpful staff.
Pleasant and happy atmosphere. |
| Bad Points:
For ladies, the mirror in my bedroom was missing, had to keep moving to the dressing mirror.
The lights in bathroom were too low. |
| Further Comments: Excellent. As the next question asks....yes every time. |

| Good Points:
Location,Pool,Bar |
| Bad Points:
Gym |
| Further Comments: Enjoyed our stay, disappointed with the gym as we were really looking forward to using it and there wasn't much to offer.Thought the pool was nice as were the steam/sauna rooms and Spa Bath.Enjoyed one of our breakfasts, the other one wasn't as nice.Had a nice lunch at the bar.Parking was good (apart from the height of the curb outside the entrance).Found the location was excellent, close to the beach and close to the pubs and clubs.Staff were ok. |

| Good Points:
Not alot |
| Bad Points:
Old rooms, pipes banged all night, loud and noisy people either side and below. |
| Further Comments: 1. Lifts not working for duration of stay
2. first night on 2nd floor then moved to 4th floor due to noisy pipes in wall throughout the night, loud neighbours either side and above.
3. Had to ask for compensation and to move rooms otherwise nothing would of been done.
4. Been as though there are several hotels in bournemouth I will not be staying their again.
5. Even though Active booking was good you need to think about the hotels you choose in future
6. I feel sorry for those who do not have the confidence to complain and pay full price for a substandard stay |

| Good Points: Good location, close to restaurants |
| Bad Points: Tired looking room, poor quality TV. |
| Further Comments: Good Restaurant and breakfast, friendly staff. Room a bit tired, the bar has Sky TV on non-stop and shuts early.
Maybe the carpet in the public areas is nylon because I got a lot of static shocks (and did last time i stayed too).... |

| Good Points: The room was clean and comfortable although the heating tended to 'knock'. |
| Bad Points: Nothing realy we enjoyed our stay very much |
| Further Comments: The hotel is a good 10 minutes walk to the town but the buses and taxis are quite cheap and you can get around easily. The snacks and meals are a bit pricey and the portions not very big, that said they are very tasty. The hotel staff, especially on the bar and reception, are very friendly and helpful. Overall a nice hotel and we will stay there again. |

| Good Points: Convenient to the town centre and sea front. |
| Bad Points: The bathroom was spoilt by very old shower fed via the bath taps which I do not find satisfactory. |
| Further Comments: We know Bournemouth quite well and so knew of the Queens Hotel prior to staying. We choose it on this occasion as it met our needs in relation to our visit and proved good value for money. Our experience was damaged by small but essential items; the bathroom fittings, our inability to communicate our needs adequately in the dining room and some surly cleaners. |

| Good Points: The hotel was right by the beach and in a great location to the town centre and facilities which made it very attractive. Also the dining area, bar and reception area was very clean and presentable with modern but traditional decor. |
| Bad Points: As the ground floor reception and front seemed modern I found the room to be quite dated in comparison to other hotels I have stayed at. The decor, furniture and room facilities i felt, did not match those of the other parts of the hotel as mentioned above. The Leisure area was also modern and the room was dissappointing, such as the TV channels available. |
| Further Comments: The stay overall was very pleasant and enjoyable and all staff were very friendly and helpful. However it would have been fantastic if the rooms were updated and modernised to suit the presentation you are given when you enter at reception. In saying this it was very good value for money though. |

| Good Points:
Provision of tea/coffee making facilites, trouser press, etc. |
| Bad Points:
Somewhat tired; in need of a redecoration programme. |
| Further Comments: The hotel is typical of many around our coastline: once grand, now in need of a makeover. Well positioned just a stone's throw from the seafront but with limited parking. Breakfasts adequate but beware, if you are a vegetarian looking for an evening meal check first. My wife was totally unimpressed by vegetables in batter. Loads of fat and absolutely no protein! |

| Good Points:
A very restful stay for a very sad visit to Poole, my late partner's place of birth. Thank you |
| Bad Points:
Nothing at all but the wardrobe door was off its hinges. |
| Further Comments: I was made very welcome by the reception staff. The standard of comfort was very good, breakfasts good, room comfortable. Lounge facilities most relaxing and snacks good quality and tasty. General facilities excellent and in easy reach of the town and beaches, either walking or driving.
A busy but beautiful part of the country - I will definitely visit this area again. |
