Good Points: The staff were very friendly, would help with anything if they could, food was good quality, well cooked, aand very well presented. rooms were beautiful, well looked after and you felt very well cared for the whole of your stay.
Further Comments: this hotel is superb, i cannot recommend it highly enough, i would stay here time and time again in fact i wont even look anywhere else for a hotel in york. this is superb.

Good Points: Cleanliness, quality facilities -- dining room, bedroom and comforatble conservatory.
Further Comments: A thoroughly professional Management who were prepared to go that extra mile to ensure visitors enjoyment. We should certainly stay again when next in the area and would confidentally recommend the Bishops Hotel to discerning friends. Better than any 'big chain' hotel!

Good Points: lovely touches in the bathroom and choice of bathrobes giving a personal touch.
Bad Points: Nothing to dislike.
Further Comments: Excellent hotel, breakfast was excellent the hotel was clean and welcoming. Placed within walking distance to the city centre

Good Points: The facility was clean and the English breakfast was excellent.
Bad Points: The room was incredibly small and cramped. The room size was 11' x 11' with a 4' x 6' ensuite bathroom inside, leaving just enough room for two twins and two night stands.
Further Comments: The facility was very good but the room was so small that it diminished our experience. We would recommend it only for people traveling with minimal luggage.

Good Points: STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND EAGER TO PLEASE. ROOM COMFY AND NICE DECOR. BREAKFAST NICE AND WELL CATERED FOR. NOT FAR FROM TOWN.
Further Comments: FRIENDLY STAFF. COMFY ROOM WITH NICE DECOR. WOULD COME BACK AND WOULD RECOMMEND. WOULD LIKE TO HAVE KNOWN FOR DEFINATE IF A ROOM WITH FOUR POSTER BED WAS AVAILABLE.

Good Points: Very well presented, spotless, tidy, modern
Bad Points: The only downside was that breakfast started at 08:00. My schedule was tight and I would have preferred an earlier breakfast eg 07:30
Further Comments: The hotel staff were superb, very attentive, friendly and helpful with information about the city - I was recommended a great pub for a local beer. The room was spotless, spacious and very well equipped.

Good Points: The accomodation was just like mentioned on the website. The room was comfortable and clean with all the facility you would expect.

Further Comments: Our stay was very comfortable. We were made very welcome by the owners and almost felt like their friends rather than hotel guests. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and you are able to enjoy the conservatory or sit outside which was welcomed by the glorious sunshine. The were plenty of books/magazines about the surrounding areas for you to read up on aswell as books and videos you could borrow to watch in your room. The breakfast was first class with lots to choose from for any appetite. We were also recommended places to eat out and these certainly lived up to expectations. We will stay at The Bishops again when we visit York in the future as it is only about 15 minutes walk to the city for shopping or eating out.

Good Points: We liked the staff and accommodation. We were impressed by the body shop toilettries (excuse my spelling) and the breakfast was 1st class.
Bad Points: I cant think of anything wrong with bishops
Further Comments: Marco was friendly and helpfull. Really enjoyed our stay at bishops.

Good Points: Clean, comfortable, spacious - the additional extras such as bath robes were much appreciated. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order.
Further Comments: A very friendly and comfortable hotel with a feel of home from home about it. The proprietors and staff were very welcoming and helpful as well as knowledgeable about places to visit etc.

Good Points: Friendly staff. Beautiful suite. Lovely breakfast.
Further Comments: My partner and I were looking for friendly, fairly luxurious accommodation (for a special occasion), not too far from York's main attractions. Bishop's Hotel fulfilled all our hopes. It has a friendly, home-from-home atmosphere, beautiful rooms and the breakfast choices are all anyone could wish for. We would definitely stay here again.

Good Points: Clean and comfortable
Bad Points: The lack of a proper bar
Further Comments: The hotel was very clean, the room was a decent size along with the bathroom. The shower was powerful and the cubical very roomy and again very clean. Breakfast was served prompt and was of good value, the staff were helpful and friendly. The one thing missing was a proper bar, there was a small fridge/bar in the conservatory where you could help yourself which was ok. (Payment of the bar was on trust which was nice in this day and age)

Good Points: the friendliness of the staff was excellent, nothing was to much trouble. Everything about the hotel was excellent, i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Further Comments: We had a fantastic overnight stay, the breakfast was outstanding and the friendliness of the staff, and cleanliness of the room and the hotel overall was also excellent. The room we booked was exactly as we expected, and was very very comfortable.
