Good Points: Have stayed in many hotels in Southampton.Hillside so far the best.
Bad Points: Bedroom at night too hot.Even after shutting down the central heating and opening the window.
Further Comments: This hotel does its utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possble. Would recommend the Hillside Hotel to any visitor to Southampton.On my next visit will certainly stay at the Hillside without question.Also the buffet breakfast was unbeatable.

Good Points: Breakfast was excellent
Bad Points: At 9 pm one evening I asked if we could have sandwiches and the lady said you were not set up for it
Further Comments: Staff were friendly. My trip was to go to my mothers funeral so I am afraid I did not notice too much

Good Points: Excellent value for money, very clean very nice breakfast will stay again
Bad Points: No bar area to relax in in the evening, you could go next door but they had a live band there so could not hear what we where saying it is nice not to have to go out

Good Points: The hotel has moved up in class with the renovation of the rooms. Very nice and clean and good value for money.
Further Comments: Great location if you are working at the Uni. Very good breakfast and free wireless access in the bedrooms.

Good Points: Comfortable room with excellent facilities. Warm & friendly service from all the staff.
Further Comments: Excellent location near to the university. Staff were very helpful and particularly good at directions as this was our first visit to Southampton. The room was comfortable with all amenities required and the buffet breakfast was superb. We will definitely use the hotel again and will be recommending it to friends and family.

Good Points: Very quiet. Good breakfast. Staff were very pleasant without being nosey.
Bad Points: Bath towels were very thin and not very large. Shower water was not very hot. Tap water was boiling. The toilet seat was very mobile. Car park floods during heavy rain. I got wet feet getting into my car.
Further Comments: All in all a clean and comfortable hotel.

Good Points: The room was just right, first impressions as you walked in were great. It wasn't too posh so I felt uncomfortable but was nice enough to feel like a nice night out
Bad Points: er, not very much. The only downside was that you could hear all the doors closing when people went in & out which is fine in the day but woke me up in the morning.
Further Comments: The place itself was very nice, the staff were friendly & the map of Southampton on Reception was very helpful. The staff were around if you had any questions but weren't overly interactive or 'in your face'. The room was lovely, all furniture was comfortable and the decor was very nice.

Good Points: Recently refurbished accomodation. Room small but well fitted out. Good breakfast. Overall great value.
