| Good Points:
Good size room. Good breakfast. Cheap Internet access. Good parking |
| Bad Points:
Bit isolated. |
| Further Comments: The hotel was very good, efficient. The room was a good size with a nice view. The hotel was very quiet (I was the only person at breakfast) so I received aa very personal service as a consequence. |

| Good Points:
It was clean wth a lovely view. |
| Bad Points:
The bed was a little uncomfortable - we rolled towards the middle, and the plug in the bath was in need of some care - the rubber seal had rotted with normal wear and tear, so the bath water ran away!! |
| Further Comments: We arrived early (11.30) but the room was ready which was good. We had dinner at the hotel and the service was good despite a large function being catered for in a function room. Breakfast we acceptable (although personally I prefer bacon fried rater than steamed)and again service was good.
On departure the service was friendly. Overall an enjoyable experience |

| Good Points:
Room was well appointed and had superb view down the estuary. |
| Bad Points:
It was not made clear wheh booking that the room would be in the Lodge - a signifcant (and cold) walk from the main building. |
| Further Comments: The meal in the restaurant was excellent, and highly reccommended. |

| Good Points: No hassel, checked in went to my room, able to rest no noise very tranquil. |
| Bad Points: Breakfast cost was a little expensive so I didnt stay for breakfast. However I did not see what was on offer so this could have been value for money I don't know. Price put me off. |
| Further Comments: Found it the night before I travelled after looking at many other options, this was off the beaten track and very acceptable, good facilites, ideal if you are visiting Newton Abbot and Denbury which are 20 mins away down the A380. |

| Good Points: Lovely quiet location with a great view.
Pool was nice and clean with other good services available.
Tasty breakfast and good service. |
| Bad Points: The room was dated and the double bed was old and had roll together, which I wouldn't expect for an executive room. Extremely limited sky television. |
| Further Comments: Overall a lovely hotel but a bit dated and lacking in some areas. |

| Good Points:
Warm, clean and comfortable. Good TV and quick repair to faulty shower. |
| Bad Points:
Its' remoteness from main hotel,no room service in lodge, breakfast over too early, pillows hard and plastic feeling--but all hotels are like that. |
| Further Comments: Apart from the problems with breakfast and the pillows, the hotel is an excellent example of an English country hotel. We did'nt expect to be in an annexe-were 'nt told at time of booking. The waitress on breakfast duty on 24/12 was charmingly helpful when we found we'd missed breakfast (at 9.30) and brought us some coffe and toast. |

| Good Points:
Clean and Tidy, plenty of room and a superb view of the Estuary. |
| Bad Points:
Needed another bed as my 2 children had to sleep in a single. |
| Further Comments: We were delighted with our stay, the staff were very friendly and had time for my children. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. All of this and set in a beautiful location as well.
Our stay was so good that we may well return next year. |

| Good Points: The room was in the lodge across the car park but was still very comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. The room was larger than average. |
| Bad Points: The heating in the room was only average from the electric wall heater. |
| Further Comments: The hotel is down a winding lane which opens up into the hotel car park. I wasn't sure what to expect, but wasn't disappointed!
The hotel is split between the main building and a lodge with further rooms.
The food and facilities were very good.
An unusual touch is the pub behind the hotel which looks out over the river estuary.
A hidden gem of a hotel and well worth staying at! |
