Good Points: we enjoyed the old worldliness of the hotel and the very friendly staff. the food was excellent & innovitive.
Bad Points: Unfortunately, the radiator in our room was not working but, an electric heater was provided which was adequate. Otherwise, the room was lovely...quite big & comfortable.
Further Comments: Our expectations were exceeded. The pub was a pleasant surprise. The photos do not do it justice. As we were visitng with a sick relative we wanted somewhere close to stay & the pub fit the bill. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Our room was large & very comfortable. We would stay there again.

Good Points: The hotel had lots of character with a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Further Comments: The bar service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was nicely set out. The room was sufficient with clean towels the next day.

Good Points: Friendly staff. Flexible breakfast times. Fantastic food and good value for money.
Bad Points: The heating broke down so our room and the diding room were freezing. In addition we could not use our shower as there was no hot water.
Further Comments: Marred by the lack of heating - but that is not the staff's fault (they did try to repair it). The hotel has 2 bars and the staff are very friendly. I go the impression that the staff were there to help the customers and nothing was too much trouble. Charging items to our room was made easy and unfussy. All in all - a very good hotel - that needs a new boiler!

Good Points: The Room was pleasant enough
Bad Points: The service was poor. The person cooking Breakfast did not turn up until 8.10
Further Comments: No major disasters, but I will not stay again
