Good Points: roomy comfortable clean
Bad Points: overlooked staff / service area where we could view staff eating , smoking, using mobiles so had to drop blinds each time we used the bathroom , for our privacy.
Further Comments: quiet, peaceful location ,very convenient for exploring surrounding areas, excellent food and welcoming ,friendly , service .

Further Comments: The setting of the hotel was lovely - the hotel itself was excellent. The staff were very helpful. Food was excellent - I will be going back for further visits.

Good Points: Tastefully decorated room. Plenty of space for one. Lovely ensuite with lashings of hot water.
Further Comments: The staff were very helpful to me as I had never visited the area before. The service was excellent, the food very good and the general atmosphere very pleasant.

Good Points: Nice size room, pleasant help staff, excellent food, amazing views
Bad Points: For a hotel of this price scale - a hairdryer would have been appreciated. Room decorate was a little tired but the new refurbishment plans will no doubt change this

Further Comments: Hotel was in a good location and had a very good feel about it. Room was very pleasing with lovely views over the countryside. We had a disappointment with one of the courses at dinner but situation was well recovered. Felt that dining staff were a little inexperienced. Overall had a very pleasant overnight stay.

We had a disappointment with one of the courses at dinner but situation was well recovered. Felt that dining staff were a little inexperienced. Overall had a very pleasant overnight stay.

Further Comments: We stayed over a bank holiday weekend, and enjoyed the peaceful, quiet atmosphere of the hotel. It offers a comfortable and relaxing environment, with an excellent restaurant.

Good Points: Brilliant service, just what we wanted
Bad Points: no remotes for the television.
Further Comments: Very easy to book, extremely easy to find as just off the main road. Checking in easy, staff very helpful, the room was very clean. Room service was brilliant. The location is stunning. Really enjoyed it. All in all excellent. Will be back this weekend infact!

Good Points: The de-luxe room was spacious and well appointed. Excellent full sized bay window giving a great view. We liked the small entrance hallway in particular ant the high ceiling in the room, in what was a modern annex to the hotel.
Bad Points: The hotel is a curious mix of Victorian country house with some bland 1970s additions.
Further Comments: Overall, the hotel was very good, was easy to fine and set in a lovely commanding location. The hotel is due to undergo a major redevelopment shortly, which acconts for the slightly dated feel to the bar as all of this will be rebuilt shortly. Excellent breakfast!

Good Points: pleasant clean room - nice to have a little balcony.
Bad Points: not enough pillows, cushions missing, no shower cap in bathroom.
Further Comments: I was disappointed to see a function tent in the garden. I'm sure for commercial reasons this is a good idea but it doesn't add to the prettiness of the location. As part of the Conrah's charm is its setting it seems a shame to spoil it.
