Good Points: Comfortable
Bad Points: Did not have radio in room - and couldn't get R4 properly on the TV
Further Comments: The location was quiet - but useful to access Portsmouth etc. Pleasant walks nearby and good local pubs Hotel has a very good restaurant Food and service good

Good Points: The room was big, and there was little noise at night (always important).
Bad Points: The room stank of smoke.
Further Comments: Good points: the hotel has good accommodation, and is situated near a charming village, and is very close to Chichester. The staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. The restaurant food is excellent, and the breakfast food is fine, though it's not very generous. Bad points (minor ones): the room smell (I was under the impression that it was a non-smoking room). I was also annoyed that I should be served instant coffee at breakfast in a cafetiere; it doesn't fool anybody. (The evening, restaurant, coffee, was filter, and fine.)

Further Comments: We have used this hotel for more than 25 years for both functions and overnight stays and have always been very satisfied. We will certainly continue to use it when appropriate.

Good Points: I found the accomodation to be of a good standard. With all the facilities you would expect in an hotel of this standing. We arrived late due to bad weather and found the staff very efficient and helpfull.
Bad Points: The only down side to our stay was the on going building work. Which we did hace prior notice of.

Bad Points: Bedding - horrible woolen blankets on bed and lumpy pillows room too hot (even with windows open)

Good Points: The accommadation was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the Duck!!!!
Further Comments: The staff were friendly, helpful and made you feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was relaxing and the food was very excellent. The waiters were friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back again and again.

Further Comments: Unaware of building work till last minute, 4 days before we were booked to go I understand that the work had been going on for some time and was running late; some discount should have been given or alternative accommodation provided very poor. The noise didn￢ﾀﾙt stop till well after evening meal, no lounge area for drinks many staff moaning about the disruption.
