Good Points: Clean,Comfortable & spacious rooms.
Bad Points: The Bed was a little on the hard side for me.
Further Comments: Arrived late at the hotel, Tired , hungry. Room service and a beer was excellent - Food was delivered to my room within 20 minutes and was deliciously cooked. All the staff we very friendly and accommodating towards you and your needs as a customer. Definitely coming back to this hotel.

Good Points: Comfortable, convenient, quiet and excellent for our purposes
Bad Points: Nothing particularly - but understand refurbishment is on going. From our personal point of view a more easily controlled and ajustable shower fitting for the sizes and circumstances of the occupants will be 'an improvement'.
Further Comments: We had accomodation to a standard accepted for the class of hotel. The breakfast included was fine and adequate in every way - since it was replenished freshly as a buffet regularly and was hot - yet offering a full range of items cooked and fresh as well as dietry acceptable for those with needs to take care!

Good Points: Cosy hotel and courteous staff.
Bad Points: The first night the housekeeping staff forgot to clean our room. The second night there were no tea bags.
Further Comments: The hotel manager responded well to our complaint about the housekeeping (no room cleaning the first day, bed unmade etc.). The rooms seemed a little run-down, especially the bathrooms. The TV was limited to the five analogue channels which seems rather poor these days. Breakfast was the same every morning - rather boring after four nights stay! However, the hotel was generally comfortable, and, for us, the location was perfect.

Bad Points: One mattress was uncomfortable and in need of replacement. Showering facility was below current standards.
Further Comments: Excellent friendly and efficient staff, especially receptionist who was on duty Friday night and Saturday morning and our waitresses in the restaurant on both nights. Comfortable seating area in bar and restaurant, although upper level of restaurant could benefit from air conditioning being on. Excellent range of food and wines at reasonable prices.

Good Points: Good room, pleasant suroundings
Bad Points: Hair dryer not working. A bulb gone in one light. Not crucial but how do you monitor? The toaster would burn toast one side and not brown it on the other
Further Comments: Accommodation was good but the restaurant service was poor. Service was slow for the evening meal. My meal was good but my wife's lasagne was dry and hard going. Another guest found it equally hard going.

Good Points: Good value for money B&B for only ￂﾣ45.00. Room & facilities good. Really nice evening meals (liked the complimentary olives & bread). Cask beer on the bar.
Bad Points: Not keen on the tea/coffee in flasks at breakfast.

Good Points: Quite relaxing, quiet room, nice outlook from balcony.
Bad Points: Corners of room could do with extra vaccuming. A bit dark and needs updating.
Further Comments: We like this hotel and have stayed here before. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is in a nice location with pleasant surroundings. The hotel is in the process of being refurbished and if they do as good a job on the rooms as they have in the bar/restaurant then it will be a pleasure to stay again.

Good Points: Clean, comfortable hotel in middle of refurbishment but no disruption to service. Friendly staff, goood food, good value.
Further Comments: If you are visiting the New Forest, Hillier Gardens or National Trust properties this is a good base. As a 3 star hotel it gives good value and the service was personal and friendly. Room service is available from the dining room menu and it is not a restricted menu - better meal and service than I have experienced in 4 star hotels in the region and abonus for guests who are travelling alone.
