Hilton Cardiff near Cardiff: Cardiff Hotels

Good Points: nice decor, spacious rooms and comfortable bed, prompt and friendly service, good value for money, superb location
Bad Points: toilet was hard to flush. no bathtub, bathrobe or slippers
Further Comments: We enjoyed staying in this hotel, however, we expected a little more for it is rated as 5 star hotel; we thought this was more like 4 star.

Further Comments: There was lots of extra costs, like breakfast and parking which all add up. The staff couldnt be more helpful and bent over backwards to help us.

Good Points: We had a lovely room, very clean ans spacious, with a lovley view as we were situated at the front of the hotel
Bad Points: nothing at all!
Further Comments: wonderful, it was a birthday treat and we had an excellent time, thank you!

Good Points: Accomodation was excellant, as was the service.
Bad Points: The fact that the price of the room was doubled due to an event being held in the city the same night.
Further Comments: No complaints other than the price of the room. To charge double the normal room price because of a sporting event is scandalous, i would have expected more from such a prestigious name as The Hilton. Breakfast was not even included. As a De Vere member, i was very disapointed.

Good Points: Liked the room service, champagne and food pretty good as was breakfast
Bad Points: Bathroom had mould in the shower and the shower wasn't particularly powerful. Bar staff weren't terribly friendly and didnt know how to make cocktails.
Further Comments: Overall the hotel served it's purpose, it was close to our venue. Other aspects of the hotel let it down. For the money we paid I would have expected better.

Good Points: Central location with valet parking. Hotel was clean and well presented.
Bad Points: Cost of breakfast
Further Comments: Check in was quick and efficient and it was made even easier by the valet parking as the weather wasn't that pleasant at the time! The room was clean and well appointed and the hotel in general looked clean and fresh. As with a lot of hotels I felt that the cost of breakfast was too high.

Good Points: Location was excellent. Very central indeed. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and everything worked as it was supposed to do. The precise temperatures of the bath and shower and the well maintained appliances were a real treat!
Bad Points: My check-in staff member did not present as very friendly or welcoming, as one would have hoped for at such an hotel. The lobby was rather stark and unwelcoming. Only one arm chair in the twin room. The minibar was a bit expensive.
