Good Points: The proprietor really cares about giving good service to his guests and is constantly upgrading his rooms.
Further Comments: An old Victorian building within 50 metres of the Town Hall in a very quiet part of the town. The building has been recently refubished with laminate flooring and simple, clean furnishings and integrated hand washing facilities. The breakfast room is similarly styled dining area.

Good Points: Excellent value for money, friendly atmosphere.
Further Comments: Every room contains a fridge, freezer, 2 ring hob for cooking, kitchen sink, vanity sink, digital tv, tea/coffee facilities This place is very clean and well presented. rooms are of a very high standard. it looks as though this hotel has just been re-furbished. All furniture is from ikea and it is quite high standard. our host was very polite and friendly and cooks a very good british breakfast

Good Points: Room well equipped for preparing simple meals (fridge, hobs, sink) - could often have done with in the past but never found. (I'd have made better use of this if I'd realised in advance), as well as good sized desk for any paperwork.
Bad Points: I was glad I'd remembered an alarm clock as not one in the room!
Further Comments: Was given a card with the phone no. - forwards to the proprietors mobile when out - and invited to call if I was lost or needed anything. I didn't need to do this but indicative of the thoughtfullness shown.

Good Points: The staff were helpful and accomodating. The whole building was spotless
Bad Points: No on site parking
Further Comments: The hotel is centrally placed within easy reach of all amenities. There is ample parking in nearby streets, but non on site. The Town Hall clock is only 100yards away, and strikes the hours and quarters all night, but the room was effectivly sound proof and the chimes didn't bother me. The hotel is a good, useful and reasonably priced B&B.

Good Points: The room was very clean and huge. The overall impression was more than good. We are happy to have chosen this hotel!
Bad Points: We didn't find the bathropes which should be in the room. The bed was perhaps a little bit to soft. One could feel the bed frame. I know that's no standard, but an internet access is quite nice.
Further Comments: To put all in a nutshell, the hotel is clean, friendly and compared to other hotel in the region good in price. The location is excellent and in the middle of the town. Bars are almost next door. We enjoyed uor stay entirely.

Good Points: Modern, clean, friendly and homely atmosphere
Further Comments: This B & B is within walking distance to the town centre and the Metro. The proprietor was very welcoming, even waiting up till almost midnight to check me in when my flight was delayed. I would highly recommend this friendly, home from home guest house. I would certainly use it again if ever in the area.

Good Points: The hotel was spotlessly clean and well decorated,with a comfortably spacious room,with a tv as well.It was easy to find,being just 10mins walk from the Metro station,and in a quite area,although still close to all the local ammenities.
Further Comments: Our host,Ian ,was excellent,very friendly and as he runs the establishment on his own,does an absolutely great job.The full english breakfast,cooked by Ian,was hot,well presented and filling.I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel next time we travel down to the Newcastle area.Being only 10mins from the Metro means you are only 25mins from the centre of Newcastle,and 30mins from the Metro Centre,and less than an hour from the airport and places like Whitely Bay.I will definetly be reccomending this hotel to all our friends and colleagues.

Further Comments: I booked this hotel for my parents as a weekend break for their Ruby Wedding Anniversary. The owners were more than helpful when I booked. The hotel was clean and lovely decor and my parents were over the moon when there was a card and a vase of flowers in their room! Thanks so much for making their weekend a lovely experience!
