Lichfield House near Brighton: Brighton Hotels

Good Points: Hￃﾴtel calme, bon accueil, breakfast trￃﾨs bien
Bad Points: Difficultￃﾩ de parking ￃﾠ proximitￃﾩ de l'hￃﾴtel et en gￃﾩnￃﾩral prix du parking ￃﾠ Brighton Hove

Good Points: Very clean and modern throughout
Bad Points: Couldnt get the pushchair down to our room as narrow hallway
Further Comments: A nice clean bed and breakfast, smallish room with cot in but adequate, although we couldnt get the pushchair downstairs through the corridor to our room and we had to leave it in the dining room. Nice breakfast and friendly service.

Good Points: It was comfortable and quite convenient.
Bad Points: We were in a 2nd floor room, so lots of stairs.
Further Comments: Overall, this was good accommodation, but it wasn't everyone's idea of a hotel ....more like a large B&B. It has 6 rooms and a (small) dining room. The breakfast was good.

Good Points: Welcoming and friendly,room was clean and bed and towels replenished as required.
Bad Points: Time for hot water to come through in morning, noisey windows, and wind sound from fireplace.

Good Points: There was a package with our door key waiting for us on arrival. Our room had a nice view out to the sea. The breakfast was nice. We liked the location of the B&B, walkable into the centre and lots of nice shops on the walk in.
Bad Points: The bathroom needed a little modernisation as there was mould in the shower cubicle. Unfortunately there were workmen drilling outside on the street at 8.30am in the morning.

Good Points: The rooms were well appointed with unusual features that made a change from the all rooms the same stlye of so many hotels. The location was quiet (very important for a weekend in Brighton).
Bad Points: The breakfast was dissapointing with a number of choices unavailable and the breakfast room was very small resulting in a long wait for some guests.
Further Comments: Overall I do not consider that this hotel offerred good value for money, the chaos when we arrived with one of our group having to wait outside the hotel until a guest arrived to allow him access (despite having phoned ahead to agree specific arrangements) along with the poor quality of the breakfast and the very small room it was served in undermined our enjoyment of the location and the pleasant rooms.

Good Points: privacy, comfortable room - individual style, did not feel like a hotel but more like somebody's house. good location.
Bad Points: no parking facilities.
Further Comments: as above. very pleasant stay, the only improvement would be to either have a provision for guest parking or email guests with locations and costs of nearby 24 hour parking lots.

Good Points: ensuit was clean, room was coasy
Bad Points: owner was nice enough, his employee was rude, lazy and cant cook. we wasnt warned when breakfast was ready so we missed it. she then said she would cook us something, she had the cheek to served us cold food.
Further Comments: good website, an alright hotel, the service ruined our stay. we will continue to book through you but never the lichfield hotel again.
