Further Comments: Owners were extremely friendly and accomodation was comfotable and spacious. The food was very good and all home cooked.

Further Comments: Arrived at 22.30 to be greeted by You are late even though we had put that we would be arriving late.No alcoholic drinks even though advertised as available, only tea and coffee available. When asked what time we required Breakfast and said 8.00 we were told that is early. Beds advertised as firm/comfortable,actually old and creaky. Paid ￂﾣ105.00 + 3per cent Debit Card Charge.Left As soon as possible.

Good Points: Cup of tea on arrival and very clean
Further Comments: Good experiance booked due to good feedback on the web and it was a good place to stay. Little old fashioned but very nice and great value and great breakfast.

Good Points: Large and comfortable room with plenty of extras. Good views.
Further Comments: Not my usual fare, whilst travelling on business. What a pleasant suprise. Great hosts, it was more like visiting old friends.Joy was a joy. You will have to speak 'black humour' to understand George. Seriously, he's a star. A real tonic. I will have to find an excuse to visit again. Many thanks.

Bad Points: Probably too out of the way for my personal choice, prefer more hustle and bustle being a younger couple. Otherwise ok.
Further Comments: Hotel clean and quiet. A good base for visiting surrounding attractions especially if you prefer to stay out of main busy town area.Staff helpfull and friendly, worth a stay.

Good Points: Excellent hosts and hospitality, great on attention to detail, eg the weather forecast printed off for guests by 7.30 am. lovely healthy food for breakfast too.
Bad Points: only one thing -I would have liked to have been able to remove the highly scented room freshener from my room overnight, i couldnt find the source but it is not my scene. i should have asked the hosts but got back a bit late at night to do so.
Further Comments: Altogether an excellent location for holiday or business, just off the M6 but in the country with a lovely rural feel.Handy for lakes or the more remote North Pennines. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, whether it was my business needs or those of the two families with children who were also staying there
