| Good Points: Big rooms, very traditional decor, helpful and friendly staff |
| Bad Points: The shower was broken. There we items under the bed (shoe, box of playing cards)left be previous occupants. |
| Further Comments: The hotel was good value for money. You were very flexable with our requests, ie ice buckets etc for our room. |

| Bad Points: Room was under lit and gloomy. Noisy water pipes at night time. |
| Further Comments: For this price I expected something more. The room was drab and the lights barely bright enough to read by. The room had no towels in it on the first night although they did put this right the next day (but not before I was already wet and looking for a towel!) Breakfast uninspiring and looked a bit dried out around the edges. The common areas of the hotel are nice and it's a quiet location so it's not all bad but next time I am in Edinburgh I wont be staying here. |
