Further Comments: The Staff were really friendly, and seemed genuinely concerned for our welfare when we went out to play. the atmosphere in the hotel was great, its really central to a street of pubs, yet suprisingly quiet in the hotel, the metro is only round the corner and its only a quick taxi ride into the main town. the only problem i had was as a vegetaran, the breakfast included with our stay was pretty limited.

Good Points: The room was a good size for my family and I
Bad Points: We arrived on Monday and reported that our TV was not working. On Tuesday we were assured it would be replaced or mended. It was not. On Wednesday the TV still did not work. On Thursday evening it was finally in working order but we were due to go home on Friday.
Further Comments: The staff were very pleasant and appeared interested in us at all times even if they did not follow through the request to have the TV mended. The hotel was on a fairly quiet street but within walking distance of Newcastle shops. Plenty of public transport easily accessible. A small downside was the lack of places to eat for children as there only appeared to be pizzas for them. Our room was clean and fresh linen always available.

Good Points: it was comfortable and some of the staff were friendly.
Bad Points: when we arrived the receptionist was rude, and there was a toilet in pieces in our room! We got moved and then the toilet was not clean!
Further Comments: After the initial checking in problems the otherstaff we met were friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant and comfortable and the hotel was located well and the breakfast was good.

Good Points: Clean hotel, conveniently located.
Bad Points: Very little service from staff. Lack of car parking facilities.
Further Comments: We booked this hotel mainly because of its location, and the car parking facilities adverised. The car park consisted of about threee spaces behind the hotel next to the bins. When this was full we were directed to local roads. There was space, but this did not, in our opionion, constitute a car park. Had to ask about fire escape route as instructions in room were unclear - our route was blocked by full laundry bags. Luckily it wasn't needed.

Bad Points: Hair dryer and mirror light not working. No shampoo provided. Only one coat hanger!
Further Comments: Staff pleasant. Good leafy location, convenient for Metro public transport system. Hotel public areas OK, room I stayed in a little tired. Price reasonable for city centre.

Good Points: Very friendly on arrival and during out stay. Warm and clean
Bad Points: Inadequate parking facilities, although we were found one when we asked.
Further Comments: Friendly pleasant hotel, very welcoming. Generally clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast. Close to many bars and restaurants. Would definately stay there again.

Good Points: Good location at a reasonable price.
Further Comments: Friendly staff, good location near to Newcastle city centre. Rooms were not the best in the world but clean and tidy, which is what you'd expect for a relatively cheap hotel.

Good Points: Comfortable room, friendly staff, and good breakfast. Bus stop, Metro station and city centre all in easy walking distance.
Bad Points: I could not get the shower to run hot (at about 6pm) although there was ample hot water to the basin tap. Shaving light did not work, and the mirror was set too low (I am a little over 6', but had to crouch in order to shave)
Further Comments: Apart from the minor complaints above, all easily rectified, I would have no hesitation in using this hotel again, or recommending it to others.
