Good Points: Clean with good facilities. Good selection of different teas
Bad Points: Difficult to find way out - room long way from lifts and stairs led nowhere!
Further Comments: I find it comfortable and friendly staff. Good late bar food and availability of tea, coffee etc. everywhere. Good central sitting areas with fruit and croissants available in the daytime. Assorted mix of guests but easy to stay there as a single person.

Good Points: The hotel is in a very convenient area for visiting Birmingham city for shopping as well as gigs at the Carling Academy. It is just a 10 minute walk into the centre. I also liked the wide choice of food and drink for breakfast which all tasted great and you could eat as much as you wanted.
Bad Points: I disliked the noise from what I can only think was from the boiler system which seemed to be on throughout the night and also the bed was quite hard and uncomfortable.

Good Points: The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and the value for money was very good.
Bad Points: The bathroom was very small and I am a large man. I found it difficult to move around in the bathroom
Further Comments: Overall I liked my stay. I have stayed at the Aston before which was booked through my company. However, from now on I am going to book through active hotels for the aston as it was much cheaper.

Good Points: I was very suprised at the high standard of accomodation and services offered at the hotel.
Further Comments: To find a venue situated on a university campus which offered such a high standard of accomodation, comfort and services was most unexpected. I don't think the information available on the website does the hotel justice and I originally only booked my room for convenience in an area with which I was unfamiliar and also because I was attending a conference at the business school. Thankyou for making my , albeit short, stay very comfortable.

Good Points: Convenient for city centre without city centre prices
Bad Points: Room a long way from the entrance, buffet breakfast was not fresh at 09.00

Good Points: clean, confortable, quiet,and the staff were very nice indeed.
Bad Points: one of the rooms was not so confortable as the new one
Further Comments: it was really nice to stay here , and it was a very good price for the quality of the hotel. The breakfast and the dinner at the restaurant were very good; people here were also very nice. The coffee machines with the cookies in the living room were very cool.All the decoration around this area is really nice, modern and confortable. It was a very good choice.

Bad Points: The fact that even a confirmation doesn't get you a bed to sleep. The noice of the surrounding and the poor isolation of the windows
Further Comments: I would have liked to be sertain that when i recieve a confirmation i also would be in the pc system.

Further Comments: Although I did not require parking facilities many of my colleagues did and had a lot of problems finding parking. It would have been better to see what the standard rooms looked like as they are quite small and I think I would have spent the extra money on a superior room if I had been staying for longer.
