Good Points: Beautifilly appointed and clean bathroom with a constant supply of (very) hot water.
Bad Points: The orange lights above the beds were rather dim for reading.
Further Comments: The staff at reception were particularly friendly and helpful. Louis' restaurant attached to the hotel was outstandingly good, with excellent food and attentive staff.

Good Points: Good friendly staff, good service. Good size room. Good food options.
Bad Points: The noise! Area is quite busy for nightlife. Romm 115 had thumping music till about 11pm (Thursday night)
Further Comments: I found this a good quality hotel all round. The only drawback was noise in the evening from the bars and revellers in the street. Fine if your out there with them, not so good if you require rest.

Good Points: Good check out time - 12.00pm.
Bad Points: Uncomfortable bed. Decor busy - carpets in particular
Further Comments: Accomodation was adequate for the price paid. We had arranged for a room to be ready on our arrival mid morning so that we could shower and change for a lunchtime appointment. On arrival no one knew about this but the situation was rectified quite quickly.

Good Points: Cleanliness and size of rooms were good
Bad Points: Temperature of rroms could be a little overpowering with windows closed, if opened windows this could be noisy due to external air conditioning units
Further Comments: Overall the stay was a pleasant experience. It may be worth noting that although the Osbourne's bar is attatched to the hotel it does not allow any under 18years inside or outside in the gardens after 7p.m. This we found a little difficult as residents with 16 year olds. The italian resturant Scalini's was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Good Points: Nice big room.
Bad Points: Did find old used soap in bathroom! Only two pots of milk,but I feel I could/should of asked for more milk
Further Comments: The staff were very nice and very helpfull. Did not mind helping out when we had a slight problem with our son and his graduation wear!. it could have got very stressfull!! (for Me )

Good Points: clean tidy, modern and excellent bars and nightlife.
Further Comments: The hotel was great in every aspect and the staff very friendly and informative. I did not know the extent of the nightlife in the bars. The hotel was like a mini night out!!!

Good Points: Nice area, well presented hotel and nice adjoining restaurant.
Bad Points: The only problem was that the room was very hot, even though there was no heating on.
Further Comments: Friendly staff lovely room and nice hotel, just a shame it was so hot in the room.

Good Points: Convenient for public transport and easy access to Newcastle town centre etc
Further Comments: Incredibly noisy in bar and bistro restaurant and surrounding streets because of its use by outsiders (particularly young people and particularly students). Hotel bistro restaurant impossible to use because of its use by outsiders, again particularly students and young people, and all the other restaurants/bars locally were the same. No trouble, just noise. Would not stay there again for this reason. Hotel itself was good and breakfast was good, but local nightlife was a definite zero factor.

Bad Points: Noise level inside pub section, noise level within corridor until 5.00am in morning from other guests
Further Comments: I generally fould the hotel to be fine but was disapointed with the noise levels at night, I thought with being in a nice area outside of Newcastle it would avoid the large drinking crowds

Good Points: Clean bedroom, nice to have tea making facilities.
Bad Points: Stayed weekend of 17.19 May. Hotel was very hot - fire on in reception!
Further Comments: Good breakfast, plates very very hot (too hot). Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Good Points: Bright and spacious room with good sized en-suite. The accomodation was very clean.
Bad Points: Concern regarding security as the bedroom window was directly over the fire escape and couldn't be locked slightly open for ventilation.
Further Comments: It is the third time we have stayed here and each time the accomodation, staff and food has been good. We prefer a quiet room so always ask for one located at the back as the main road outside is busy. We were surprised to be asked for full payment at booking-in which was a change from previous occasions.

Good Points: location
Bad Points: breakfast. too greasy and attitude of waiter poor. too rushed bringing hot food before we were ready.
Further Comments: The breakfast experience spoiled the visit. Cooked food far too greasy (ever heard of a grill?). Second morning decided to have continental and there were no yoghurts left and the fresh fruit was nearly gone with no attempt to replenish. Quality hotels do not run out of basics or fry food in grease. Also we had to ask for top up of coffee, why not leave a jug or cafetiere to refill yourself? The waiter's body language showed he wasn't impressed because we commented on the food. In fact he shouted sarcastically to the chef so we could hear. The room (121) was ok except for the smell of cigarettes which we realised as we were about to depart was being caused by staff standing at the bottom of the fire escape smoking under our window!!

Good Points: very spacious, very clean and comfortable
Further Comments: the hotel was ideally situated for bars, restaurants etc. I will certainly stay there again.
