Good Points: Very friendly and great value for money. Close enough to train and bus station to walk.
Bad Points: Status quo for U.K. hotels, but TV access very limited.
Further Comments: Very friendly owner and facilities are taken care of. For the price, it is an excellent value for money and I'm considering staying there with the family on a future vacation.

Further Comments: As this was only a 2 night stay at a B&B everything was better than expected and we would stay there again.

Further Comments: In a city full of overpriced hotels offering a fairly average service, an establishment like this is a gem! Excellent value for money, an exceptional welcome from the owner and high quality food and accommodation made the stay comfortable and memorable. Highly recommended.

Further Comments: i thought our host was very helpful and informative, I would have liked to know about the number of stairs being a less abled person.

Good Points: owners and staff very helpfull made us feel very welcome
Bad Points: minor details but clock radio in room v.dirty and lightswitchs were grubby just needed a good clean and dust
Further Comments: we were very pleased with the hotel it fitted the reviews we had read exactly we would be very happy to stay here again just a couple of minor points

Good Points: Excellent location near the racecourse
Bad Points: Interior decor a bit cluttered and generally in need of rennovation
Further Comments: Delightfully friendly propriatoress; also very helpful as she took the time to supply a map and drew best access options to destination. The Breakfast was EXCELLENT.

Good Points: Friendly hosts and clean hotel rooms.
Further Comments: A nice place to stay within walking distance of the City Centre and Rail way station etc. Good breakfast and friendly hosts. Excellent on providing tourist information and maps etc.

Good Points: friendly atmosphere
Bad Points: room was a little on the small size
Further Comments: Although this is a well run guest house with excellent service i probabely wouldn't book to go back there. The reason for this decision is because i purposefully booked an en-suite room and had i known that the room was going to be in the attic with a low roof space i would have cancelled it. The room felt very cramped and claustrophobic.

Good Points: Being given a twin room vice single, that was very nice! Very clean, in a good part of York, very friendly staff, lovely breakfast, couldn't ask for much more! Being offered a pick-up from York station was great, the local tourism information I received from the owner was very useful and most appreciated.
Further Comments: Did get a tad lost on the walk to the station (seemed rude to ask them to pick me up!), but soon got there OK. Lovely room, lovely staff, was grateful to have a cup of tea and have a lie down watching TV after an exhausting day! Breakfast was fantastic. Being given lots of good tourism information was excellent and informative. Unfortunately I had to turn down a lot of the stuff suggested but next time I get a chance I'll do it! All in all, an excellent last-minute (well, night before) booking. Extremely glad I chose it for my stay, will definately book there next time!

Good Points: the price and breakfast
Bad Points: not too keen on the clowns, hundreds of them in the breakfast room, but I expect most people like them.
Further Comments: Good honest value.

Good Points: it was clean,and the people who ran the hotel were very friendly
Bad Points: we had to share a bathroom,if i had to dislike anything
Further Comments: the only thing i would of liked to have known was how far we were from the city,the stay was really good and myself and my partner would use this hotel again,the staff were vary helpful and very friendly the food was good what more can i say

Good Points: staff friendly, food excellent facilities were superb. Overall an excellent b&b and really reccomend it.
Bad Points: Parking can be tight but they provide you with a permit so not really a problem.
Further Comments: room had a double bed and a three quater bed tv tea coffee facilities and an excellent en-suite with power shower and honestly cannot fault it at all. Their was wide variety of choice for breakfast which we had full english and it was superb. The couple who owned the guest house were really friendly without being in your face and would do anything they could to benefit your stay. I honestly cannot fault it in anyway and must say fantastic value for money.

Good Points: the cleanliness,food,beds and the hosts carol and peter.
Further Comments: the service and friendliness were excelent carol and peter couldnt do enough for us and the breakfast was A1 we would recommend this b&b to to anyone.(very well run).

Good Points: hotel was close to york centre and attractions, also breakfast was good with friendly family owners/managers.
Bad Points: room was small but clean, only shower and toilet at the end of landing however access to them was ok during our stay.
Further Comments: a warm friendly welcome, clean room and good breakfast. good location with city centre and train station only 10 minutes walk. if you like a reasonably priced cosy family run hotel thats exactly what Romley house provides.

Good Points: Well presented, clean, excellent service from proprieters.
Bad Points: Smallish room
Further Comments: Excellent welcome, very good service. Proprieter took time to tell us where the sights were, made sure we had everything we wanted, etc. Great breakfast and facilities, if the room was bigger I would say it was as good a place as I've stayed in.
