Good Points: that it was close to the town.
Bad Points: i think it could have been a little bit cleaner in the hotel and the decor needs updating.
Further Comments: the breakfast was o.k but the toast was half cooked and soggy. the waitress took half and hour to bring out cooked breakfast over which was really slow and when i asked for a glass of water i was still waiting 20minutes later! service in that department needs to be improved.

Further Comments: Lovely room, nice and clean, well decorated, nice shower: excellent value for money. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was extremely noisy - the rock and roll band downstairs followed by hours of drunken arguments on the street. Good location, reallt nice breakfast and lovely staff.

Good Points: I think it could be made clearer that it is a pub, but having said that the hotel was fine for a night.
Bad Points: Could do with double glazing in the rooms as it was noisy during the night with people walking home from town (not from the pub itself)
Further Comments: All in all it was good, the food was nice and the people very friendly.

Good Points: good because near the city centre
Bad Points: We booked a double bedroom but we finally had a twin bedroom at the same price due to a problem of double booking. We would have expected a lower price as the room we finally had was not the one booked...
Further Comments: Despite the problem of booking, the room was normal, clean, and the staff polite and sympthetic. I would recommend this hotel for people that would like to go to bed after 1h00 as there is the pub under the bedroom so before that is quite difficult ue to the noise, but for us it was not a problem...

Good Points: It kept us out of the cold.
Bad Points: One of the twin beds had a broken mattress/boxspring which made for difficult sleeping; the teac/coffee cups and the bathroom glass were dirty so we did not use them; the soap in the bathroom was used and had a hair or two stuck to it; but worst of all, the Friday night entertainment was a very loud rock band playing right below us that blasted into our room until midnight. True, the website mentioned 'entertainment', but the bone stirring volume was not suggested.

Good Points: The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was modern and clean.
Bad Points: The only drawback was that the room faced on to a main road and there was a lot of external noise.
Further Comments: The staff were extremely friendly and I would definitely stay at the Singleton again.

Further Comments: - far too noisy as there was life performance (quite good music) until late in the night - single-glased windows doesn't help blocking out noise from outside as it's in the city centre - price of ￂﾣ50 per night for double room is a bit too high for pub accomodation

Good Points: Very friendly staff, room was clean.
Bad Points: decor needed updating and the live music can be clearly lheard in the roooms so veru noisy until 11.30pm
Further Comments: Very enjoyable. Excellent location for town, beach and train station. Lovely staff and great value for money.

Further Comments: great place to stay but if u like your sleep on a friday or saturday or sunday night this place isnt for you they have live bands till gone midnight playing but thats what you get for staying in a pub apart from that i would stay there again

Good Points: staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.room was exactly what we needed.bathroom was imaculately clean.
Further Comments: warm and friendly,clean and tidy with entertainment thrown in and a lovely big breakfast in the morning!

Further Comments: You get what you pay for. It's basically a pub with rooms - check in at the bar. Rooms good-sized and clean. Staff friendly & helpful. Only real downside is the lack of local parking which left me in danger of getting a ticket.

Further Comments: ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT ULTIMATELY AN ISSUE FOR US, IT SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR TO CUSTOMERS THAT THE BUILDING IS EFFECTIVELY A PUB / HOTEL, AS WE COULD IMAGINE OLDER COUPLES WHO MIGHT HAVE WANTED A QUIET BREAK NOT LIKING THE NOISE TOO MUCH WHICH OFTEN WENT ON LATE. FOR US THOUGH, IT WAS NOT AN ISSUE. :-)
