Good Points: Room, sleigh bed, wireless broadband, breakfast.
Further Comments: Stayed in the lovely Castle room again; very cozy with an enormous sleigh bed which is one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. Val is a great host and makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast is varied and well cooked. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely stay at Allerton House.

Further Comments: Warmly greeted by name on arrival (which was a nice touch). The room was welcoming and very clean. Breakfast was cooked to order. Overall a very nice stay.

Good Points: Clean, stylish, and a warm and personal welcome.
Bad Points: Only small property - only in-room menu available for evening.
Further Comments: Good. Room was quite special/romantic, and the lounge with the log fire was lovely and cosy. Home comforts of DVD and wireless internet were a nice touch.

Further Comments: Very relaxing atmospere. Nice unexpected friendly touches such as sherry and port in residents' louge for free tipple at mealtimes.

Good Points: Spacious with good facilites. Hotel is well situated high up above the town
Further Comments: The owners were very welcoming and chatty. The breakfast was excellent and the room and bathroom were luxurious and the bathroom is modern and stylish. On arriving, the front door was locked and I had to phone the owners on a mobile number provided on a laminated sheet in the porch to be let in as I couldn't make myself heard by ringing the door bell - a petty criticism.

Further Comments: The owners were very welcoming and chatty. The breakfast was excellent and the room and bathroom were luxurious and the bathroom is modern and stylish. On arriving, the front door was locked and I had to phone the owners on a mobile number provided on a laminated sheet in the porch to be let in as I couldn't make myself heard by ringing the door bell - a petty criticism.

Room was comfy,warm and had everything we needed. Breakfast specials available every day and were very tempting. Good base to tour the Borders

Good Points: Very Spacious and and well presented room, extremely comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and generous wardrobe.
Bad Points: Overly enthusiastic extractor fan in bathroom, sounds like a 747 landing in there.
Further Comments: A welcome oasis of calm prior to our wedding, the owners were very helpful finding somewhere to store my dress overnight, and both our dinner and breakfast were delicious. We did have a little trouble finding Allerton House in the dark, but one phone call and we were guided in perfectly.

Good Points: The accommodation is stylish and sophisticated but very comfortable.
Further Comments: The Leasks were welcoming, relaxed and very helpful. Allerton House is fantastic value for money and I would love to stay there again.
