Best Western Connaught Hotel near Bournemouth: Bournemouth Hotels

Good Points: very clean and tidy . Good public seating areas and bar
Bad Points: very limited parking and not a very good shower in room
Further Comments: Overall stay was very good . Not much of choice on menu for main meals , so we ate out .

Bad Points: unfortunately on the friday night there was very very loud usic from the ajoining hotel and despite the managers request they would not turn it down so it ended at about 1230 pm which, when you are at a conference and have to be up early to attend was not acceptable. obviously this was not the connaughts fault.
Further Comments: i just thought it was a very well run hotel with very friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast.

Further Comments: This hotel had everthing I needed for a comfortable overnight stay, close to the town centre, good gym and swimming facilites, excellent food service and friendly staff throughout the hotel

Bad Points: not having air conditioning in the public places
Further Comments: the restaurant was good the breakfasts were excellent we were in the main hotel and it would benefit from air con overall nothing to complain about.

We made good use of the indoor pool and facilities which greatly enhanced our enjoyment. The hotel is in a very convenient position near the centre of Bournemouth.

Good Points: Close to town centre and sea front
Bad Points: Having to walk in rain from one bulding to the other for breakfast and spa area. Constant banging of fire doors. Cleaning staff constantly knocking on doors from 7am for access.
Further Comments: There were 8 rooms booked for elderly family and friends staying for a family wedding. We would have booked into the Best Western side of hotel not the annexe if we had realised that we would have to walk in the rain to get to the entertainment area, dining room and spa. The constant banging of the front door and fire doors was totally unacceptable, when mentioned to staff when checking out the response was 'Oh well'. Some of the rooms had small atriums which was like staying in a tin can when it rained. The bathroom had a glass door so you was always on show even sitting on the loo! Breakfast was of a good standard normal buffet style but queues most days for tables. Although there is parking I had to wait for a space and not use car all weekend incase I lost parking space.
