Good Points: Wonderful Views and lovely staff.
Bad Points: Needs updating - loo was loose on the floor and needed a lick of paint and modernising.Walls are also a bit thin!
Further Comments: We were visiting to attend a funeral. Hotel is very Central and in a nice quiet area. Lovely breakfast with attentive staff. I do think because of the accomodation it was a little overpriced.

Good Points: Clean and bright. The bar/reception/restairant areas were lovely, and the staff couldn't have been nicer/friendlier
Bad Points: room was a little small
Further Comments: This was a really nice, relaxed, family-run Hotel.mOur sea-view was spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful and had a lot of local knowledge. Just a short walk to any type of restaurant you could imagine.

Good Points: Great location. Beautiful sea views. Fair sized room. The staff took the time and effort to put a cot in the room for our 9 month old daughter.
Bad Points: The TV had a hideous buzzing noise on it. The toilet didn't flush properly.
Further Comments: Overall I was rather fond of this hotel. As far as I can tell the hotel was privately run and to an extent some of the wear and tear on the fixtures and fittings shows that they did not have the same huge financial resources for maintenance of chain hotels, but we had a nice room (along with a free upgrade), the hotel is in a great location and had friendly and comfortable atmosphere. It was also quite good value for money.

Good Points: It was clean and, for the money, good value.
Bad Points: It could do with updating.
Further Comments: This hotel is in a very good position and the managers are very friendly and helpful. We would have preferred a sea view but there were none available.The menu in the restaurant was a bit too basic. Generally speaking I can think of no adverse comments to make. For the price we paid it was very good value.

Further Comments: Very friendly, clean and welcoming place with good seafront location. Especially the breakfast was served with lovely chat and humor! Not within walking distance from train station but convenient for aquarium and D-day Museum. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Good Points: Superb / plntiful breakfast with first class service. Pleasant staff - good friendly ambience in the bar.
Bad Points: Nothing springs to mind.
Further Comments: Could not fault hotel and throughly enjoyed the musuems visited in Portsmouth and Southsea. The Mary Rose experience (sunk in the 1500's and salvaged in the 1980's) was awesome! HMS Victory and HMS Warrior were equally facinating experiences. I also particularly enjoyed the D Day Landing museum just a short walk from the hotel.

Good Points: Easy to get to - parking right outside. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sea view was nice.
Bad Points: When we first arrived we used the lift to get our bags to the room - to get to our room we had to pass through the smoking rooms section - unpleasant. The room was comfortable and clean but in need of redec/refurb.

Further Comments: An excellent small family run business which although the decor cold have done with some updating was still very comfortable and the care and attention by the staff was second to none

Further Comments: Hotel is 10 - 15 minutes walk to reasonable nightlife and shopping. kitchen, reception and bar were all manned by a single member of staff. Hotel overpriced in my opinion

Good Points: The room was absolutely beautiful, it looked out over the solent, was immaculate and we just felt right at home there.
Bad Points: There was nothing we disliked. I cant think of a single complaint.
Further Comments: The hotel is amazing, right on the front of southsea with great views. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the food was beautiful as was the room. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in and we really didnt want to leave.

Good Points: Good central heating and a lovely view
Further Comments: the hotel was very nice, in a good position with easy access to all amenities including the local bus service. The parking was convenient, infract being a disabled driver we were able to park straight across from the hotel. All in all a great experience.

Good Points: A refreshing change - the beds were so comfortable
Further Comments: The staff were so friendly and helpful, the beds were so comfortable and the breakfast choices were plentiful. The full English breakfast was really great.
