Good Points: It was amazing that this hotel was described as 5* no features whatsoever could be described as within this category, it barely rated as 3*
Bad Points: The inadequacy of the rooms -the choice being basement facing a wall or attic with a climb of 65 steps! Facilities within the dreary room were minimal

Good Points: we booked an executive suite which was great, the room was of a fair size and interior was lovely.
Bad Points: the only thing the suite lacked, there was no bath which i thought was bizarre. the shower room was rather small.

Good Points: Spacious room with large, super-king bed and excellent bathroom. Modern furniture and room pleasantly decorated. Good quality cooked breakfast.
Bad Points: Fruit salad selection at breakfast was very limited. Mainly apples.
Further Comments: Excellent accomodation in a modernly decorated hotel. Number 10 is actually 2 doors down from the mother hotel, in which one finds the reception, breakfast room etc. However, not an issue.

Good Points: The space and cleanliness was great
Further Comments: It was a fantastic place with very helpful and pleasant staff. Not only was the room clean and airy, so was the rest of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again!!

Good Points: The decor throughout the hotel was impressive
Bad Points: There was a boiler room/cupboard next door to our room. You didn`t notice it when the tv was on or in conversation, but as soon as it was lights out and time for bed the noise of the heating system was annoying to say the least.
Further Comments: The hotel is in a very quite street in a very nice district which was convenient for shops/restaurants etc. Staff were friendly, pleasant and eager to please. Our room though, was smaller than we were expecting but tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. On the downside, the room (1009) was also next to a noisy boiler room which kept waking us at night as the system was refilling/re-heating. Other than that small complaint we would definitely stay here again (in another room of course).

Good Points: Beautiful decor, friendly staff, nice location
Bad Points: Small room, rattling window, being seperate from the main body of the hotel.
Further Comments: The hotel decor was as beautiful as the pictures suggested. It was also situated in a nice location, on a quiet street but only a short walk (with a hill!) from plenty of restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and informative. However our room, despite being immaculate and stunning, was on the small side. Due to this furniture and appliances were arranged awkwardly making everyday things difficult e.g. no area to sit in front of a mirror and get ready. We also had a window that didn't shut fully and rattled in the bracing Scottish wind! The hotel is also seperated into two buildings. We were placed in the building which had no reception, bar, dining area and no internal access to these areas. We had to exit our builing, walk along the street, enter next door to use the hotels facilities or see any of the staff. We found this situation very disconserting. Overall we would recommend this hotel to people but with warnings.
