Rennie Mackintosh City Hotel near Glasgow: Glasgow Hotels

Good Points: It was convenient for the city centre in general and only 10 minutes walk from Queen St Station. Hotel clean and comfortable with good heating (Feb stay). Quiet room away from main streets.

Good Points: Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff, walking distance to Concert Hall and shopping.Excellent breakfast. Room clean, good shower!
Bad Points: Nothing to dislike, suited us perfectly.
Further Comments: The hotel was very good value for money, warm & comfortable. 24 hour access, perfect for late night and overnight stay! They even loaned us an umbrella for the Glasgow rain!! I loved the Rennie McIntosh dining room!

Good Points: Friendly welcome, value for money, clean room.
Bad Points: Nothing in particular although one of the control buttons on the TV was missing.

Good Points: The bathroom was apparently very clean.
Bad Points: The bed sagged in the middle, the duvet cover and curtains had cigarette burns, the walls were paper thin.
Further Comments: I was very well received, and the hotel served my need for somewhere to overnight, but had I needed to be rested the next day, the paper thin walls would not have allowed for an undisturbed night's sleep.

Good Points: Comfortable, warm, friendly.
Further Comments: The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The location was great - within easy walking distance to city centre and all the tourist sights I wanted to see. It was very quiet for such a central location and I had no problem walking back to the hotel in the evening.

Bad Points: We could not pay with our credit card because their machine was broken or had ni receipt. We were missing towels on our room the first day.
