Good Points: everything

Further Comments: Extremely friendly welcome. Very clean and tidy. The hotel is not flash but more than adequate and the breakfast was excellent! The proprietor handles most things herself and could not have been more helpful. No evening meals but good, close local restaurants make this irrelevant.

Further Comments: the room was quite small for a family of 4. More than one nights stay would not be a good idea.The room above had very loose floorboards so we could hear every movement also every time someone went to the tolilet we heard them so we were kept awake till gone midnight so were the children we would not stay there again.

Bad Points: Das Hotel ist ein gutes B&B gemￃﾤￃﾟ englischem Standard. Als Europￃﾤer ist man fￃﾼr das Geld jedoch etwas ganz anderes gewohnt ! Diese Kritik bezieht sich jedoch im allgemeinen auf alle B&B-Hotels und deren Preise in England, zumindest soweit wir diese kennenlernen konnten.

Further Comments: Ganz allgemein muￃﾟten wir feststellen, dass englische Hotels und deren Prￃﾤsentation sehr vorteilhaft ausfￃﾤllt. In der Realitￃﾤt muￃﾟten wir jedoch - zu unserem Erschrecken - feststellen, dass in England die normalen Hotels und B&B's weit unter normalem Durchschnitt im Vergleich zu Europa liegen - was nicht so schlimm wￃﾤre, wenn die Preise nicht so unverhￃﾤltnismￃﾤￃﾟig hoch wￃﾤren.

Good Points: The owenrs were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

Bad Points: The furniture in the bedroom was a little tired, and the shower head bracket was broken. Small things that did not spoil the enjoyment of our stay.

Further Comments: The hotel has a great location in Lake between Shanklin and Sandown. A good base for exploring the island for those who have not been to the Isle of Wight before. Very easily reached by rail from the ferry port at Ryde too. A good, clean hotel with friendly staff and good food. Ideal for a couple of nights away.

Further Comments: I chose the hotel because it was close to where I wanted and had off street parking.I was not very happy therefore when requested to vacate the car park within 5 minutes of my arrival in favour of an old coach although an apology was given.

Further Comments: tessa and richard who run the place were warm and genuine hosts who did there utmost to make are stay a pleasurable one, the location was perfect because everything was within walking distance we are going back for sure and for many years to come!

Further Comments: We needed a room for just one night and found The Ashleigh House Hotel, as soon as we arrived at the hotel we felt very welcome, the room was very clean comfortable, the food was lovely and the owners were very friendly. We will stay there again.
