Good Points: Very clean, attractively furnished & comfortable
Bad Points: In the top bedroom -so need to duck under the roof beam & sloping ceiling - needed to watch my head (for those over 5ft 8 inches)
Further Comments: Very friendly owners, gregarious breakfast arrangements round one large table , excellent freshly prepared & local food for breakfast. More like staying with friends than in a hotel.

Good Points: Immaculate room in terms of cleanliness and facilities
Bad Points: Nothing
Further Comments: Read reviews online before booking and was interested to see that this B&B achieved 10 out of 10 by all reviewers. Having stayed there I am no longer surprised as this is without doubt one of the best B&B's, if not the best, that we have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble, the owners made you feel welcome and ensured your stay was as enjoyable as possible. It was also the little touches, like fresh milk in the rooms, that set this establishment apart from the rest. Highly recommended 10/10.

Good Points: The standard of the B&B was excellent - it was in very good decorative condition. The owners were friendly, informative and helpful. We even got a lift back to the railway station from Barry. The breakfast was very tasty, freshly cooked and the standard of the table layout was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the home made marmalade and plum reserve.
Bad Points: Did not encounter any problems at all.
Further Comments: The hotel was in a quiet, residential position.

Further Comments: This was our 2nd time at Applewood and again everything was great. The hosts go out of their way to be helpful offering a lift in to town. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean.Breakfast is very well cooked and the choice is great. Cant find fault at all

Good Points: location, friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast, well presented rooms/facilities
Bad Points: A low and large beam across the room which my husband managed to hit his head on constantly - no particular fault of the B&B!
Further Comments: Applewood House is most conveniently located to the centre of Harrogate yet on a quiet street with easy parking. We were offered lifts to the station if needed and maps and general sightseeing ideas were given. The other guests we met were on repeat visits to this B&B and we would certainly stay there again.

Good Points: The friendliness of the owners. The cleaniness of the guest house was spotless, and very modern.
Bad Points: We stayed in the small double room which was adequate. The bed was a little squeeky but just a small problem really.
Further Comments: This is an excellent find. I only found it by chance as the previous guest house we had stayed was closed for the weekend. The owners do go out of there way and nothing is too much trouble. They gave us a lift into town on the night time and rang round to book us a meal for the evening. The cooked breakfasts come highly recomened with the friendliness of the owners who kept conversation flowing with the other guests to make breakfast very pleasureable.
