Further Comments: While part of this hotel's charm is it's early 20th century character, the large rooms are poorly appointed. The large flat screen TV has only a limited range of channels, all with poor reception, and the wireless internet works at best at dial up speed. The staff, while generally pleasant, appeared bored and distenterested which detracted hugely from the overall enjoyment of the stay. The location is good, with pleasant views out toward the Isle of Wight.

Bad Points: Reading lamp swith inaccessible/inconvenient. Toilet roll holder requires contortionist skills to use.

Good Points: The room and bathroom were clean, the staff were polite and the breakfast was very good.
Bad Points: Having paid extra for a sea view we were disappointed that the double glazed window unit was steamed up so we couldn't see through the glass. We might as well have not bothered to pay the extra.The room was clean but the cups left for tea and coffee were very dirty.
Further Comments: The room and bathroom was very clean, the staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice which didn't run out as it neared the end! An enjoyable stay.

Good Points: clean rooms,adequate facilities in the room.polite and helpfull staff.excellent food.
Further Comments: one observation i did make was that there was not a small shelf (obviously above head height) in the shower compartment to put toiletries on whilst showering, just a minor point but to me an important one.

Good Points: The location of the hotel was fantastic and the room we had was great - beautiful sea view and very spacious
Further Comments: Everything was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
