Good Points: The Big Screen in the bar area to watch the football
Bad Points: 1.Dirty/untidy room, 2.old/cracked wash basin/toilet, 3.unvacuumed carpet, 4.broken front on small portable TV, 5.no remote control for TV, 6.no sign of any receptionist either when I arrived, at 18:40, or when I left at 08:30. 7.Earliest breakfast was at 08:30 (when I had to leave)
Further Comments: I was disappointed with my stay generally but the worst aspect was the obvious lack of care in preparing the room. The carpet had not been vaccuumed and was in poor condition, the bed cover appeared unclean and I had no confidence in the cleanliness of the ensuite or towels. There was a general air of age about the whole room.

Further Comments: The general look of the hotel was nice and the staff were polite and friendly although we did come across the following problems... The radiator was on in the bathroom with a 30 degree heat outside. Mentioned it to staff and was told the heating was off!!!(although they did say they'd check it for us). We ordered a continental breakfast the night before which was fine, until we realised in the morning we had no cutlery to eat cereal with or spread butter/jam! As the bar was shut we were unable to find any staff to assist us. Nearly cut finger trying to adjust the windows and there were no curtains/blinds in bathroom so had to hang suit bag up to stop people outside seeing us on the toilet/in the shower (had small frosted area of glass but only covered you if you are under 4 foot tall). Although the staff were nice enough, we probably wouldn't book at this particular hotel again.

Further Comments: hotel good for price staff helpfull central area disco next door would probably wanted to know before hand but slept well as driven a long way before.

Good Points: Spacious room, character, bar.
Further Comments: Always an adventure booking into older hotels, rather than the uniform soleless Travelodge etc. This time it paid off. Old railway hotel it may be, but it has loads of character and is in quite good condition. Does not say on site, but double rooms, at least, have on suite, TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Good Points: Good Location, nice relaxing beer garden
Bad Points: Bathroom facilities needed slight maintenance: No cold water in the room - even the water from the cold tap was always warm. Toilet seat was loose

Good Points: Nothing! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Bad Points: Everything! Firstly, I had to check in via a smokey Pub full of men drinking and I was a sigle lady; on the whole duration of my stay I haven't seen anybody at the reception. The bathroom was dirty ( you could see marks on the toilett seat ),the hot water was hardly there, the cups in the room were dirty, haven't even been washed after last user! need I say more?
Further Comments: I will never stay at this hotel ever again! I am surprised this sort of place exists, it's a disgrace for the Grand Victorian name!

Bad Points: The room was of a poor standard.
Further Comments: It is a very noisy hotel with a nightclub on site. The facilities are in need of modernisation throughout. The beds were clean is the best that can be said the food was ok. When it said 'Victorian' it was.

Good Points: The lady who ran the bar/pub was very nice and pleasent.

Further Comments: very clean and nice room, only staying one night, so just what we needed, you could hear the noise the beat and drown of the night club, it did not botherr me, but might other people. People should be made aware of the club..

Good Points: I found the Victorian decor of the hotel delightful. I knew the building beforehand but had thought of it purely as a Pub. I found the hotel itself a delightful surprise.
Bad Points: Only the fact that there appeared to be some problem with the plumbing.
Further Comments: I found the hotel conveniently situated and excellent value for money.

Bad Points: Noisy and two rooms we had the impression that the sheets were not changed when we arrived.

Good Points: i only had to stay one night!! there was a taxi rank right outside to get me the hell out of there!!!
Bad Points: The bed was very uncomfortable, the shower was more of a light drissel, there was no one on reception at all throughout our stay, the clientelle in the bar downstairs looked liked they had recently appeared on Trisha or/and crime watch.
Further Comments: The only reason I booked it was becasue it was cheap - i guess you get what you pay for!

Bad Points: no one present on reception which means you need to get the keys from the very smokey bar area

Good Points: The rooms are very nice for the price and the satff was very friendly and helpful.
Further Comments: It is incredibly noisy outside of the hotel until very early in the morning (at least on the Monday night I stayed there) due to the pub downstairs, the nightclub right next door and the busy street the hotel is on. Because of this I can unfortunately not really recommend this hotel.

Good Points: Good sized clean room, easy to get to. Good Value for money.
Further Comments: Ideal location for a night out in Worthing, good value for money..would definetly return to this hotel. Staff were freindly and it was easy to park outside.
