Further Comments: Had a most pleasant stay, unfortunatley it was for only one night. We shall definatley book into the Beaufort again. Probably book direct with the hotel.

Further Comments: The hotel is approx 3 miles from Gunwharf Quays. It is a pleasant hotel, with friendly staff. It was very good value for money.

Further Comments: The hotel is approx 3 miles from Gunwharf Quays. It is a pleasant hotel, with friendly staff. It was very good value for money.

Good Points: Rooms where to a very high standard for the price
Further Comments: The first point was to asy how helpful the staff are at the Beaufont Hotel...Once at the Hotel are first impression of the accommadation was it was clean and cosy...This is place i would return to in the New Year.

Bad Points: The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold - maybe affected by water use in other rooms?
Further Comments: Both our room and the rest of the hotel were clean, comfortable and well presented - however the bathroom needed updating and decorating. The staff were polite and helpful, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Good Points: great rooms great price.
Bad Points: beer was not on tap but at least beer was there in cans so not that bad.
Further Comments: the hotel was good value for money double room with bar and fantastic breakfast for ￂﾣ55.00 Find that somewhere else. Also the parking for a big van. it was no problem. if i am in portsmouth again working. then i will be staying there again.

Good Points: The rooms are beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Very Victorian and everything you would expect from a small boutique style hotel.
Bad Points: Lack of storage space to store bags. I was too early to check in and had to leave my bag in the main foyer by the check in desk. However, all outside doors are kept locked.
Further Comments: The hotel is in a great location very close to the sea front and within 15 min. walk to the center of Southsea (Palmerston St) and about 30 min. walk to Gunwharf. The hotel is stylish and the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and was plentiful. Rooms are quiet. I could not hear any of the other guests. A nice place for a getaway retreat. Hotel is on bus route.

Good Points: The room was a good size and generally clean, There was plenty of hot water The breakfast was very nice!
Bad Points: There was never anyone in reception. The bed was so hard and extremely uncomfortable. No food or snacks available during the day
Further Comments: The Hotel is a good size and is generally of a good clean standard, though certain areas a little dated. The reception was not staffed which seemed a little odd and didn't really impress us on arrival. I called a couple of times during our stay and there was never nay answer - a bit worrying in case of an emergency! There was a menu in the room for light meals, which was very welcome as we had travelled for 2 hours to get there arriving at 1.15pm. But when we ordered this we were met with blank looks from a member of staff. we then had to explain that there were menus in the rooms but she didnt seem convinced! That was dissapointing as the weather was really bad but my husband then had to go out and find a sandwhich shop. All the staff we met were foreign with very little english which again, was dissapointing for us. We probably wouldn't stay there again, therefore would not recommend it to others.

Further Comments: My mistake was in not realizing the distance from the nearest train station. But the hotel was very nice...clean, comfortable and it fit our needs just fine. A good value. Very helpful staff.
