Good Points: superb location, 10 mins from York. excellent place to stay, very friendly and clean
Further Comments: we have stayed before and been back. I would highly recommend it. We had the 4-poster bedroom overlooking the village green. Some very nice litle villages all within easy reach of this village. Very close to the pub . Continental breakfast enough to feed a horse.

Good Points: Friendly and adequate for a short over night stop.
Bad Points: It was located quite some distance from where I was intending to stay however that was due to the Harrowgate location where I normally stay being fully booked.
Further Comments: I have difficulty answering this question due to my comments above if I had been travelling to Thirsk or York the location would have been fine.

Good Points: i liked the view from the bedroom, and the area that the accomidation was situated in was very nice and quiet
Bad Points: that there was not very much public transport into the city of york, it was not very reliable and as me and partner dont have our own transport this was a bit inconvient for us
Further Comments: Me and my partner like the room very much as it had a ensuite bathroom and a lovely view of the village from our window. The room was very big and clean, and very comfatble. However i would have liked to have known that the public transport was not so reliable and it was very few and far between. I think this hotel is good for people who drive and have their own transport. But overall we very much enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed.

Good Points: Good value for money.
Bad Points: Uncomfortable bed.Bedside lamp broken.Inappropriate nude painting in front of us at breakfast.
Further Comments: Cosy warm room.Generous tea/coffee provision.Good breakfast.

Good Points: Lovely house with bags of character.Nice quiet en-suite room.Super breakfast.
Further Comments: The B&B is about 15 minutes drive from centre of York situated in the quiet village of Tollerton.The farmhouse overlooks the village green and has 4 rooms.We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children in a room that normally only sleeps 3 but it was still more than adequate with 2 camp beds for the children.The rooms are furnished with period furniture and were spotlessly clean.Tea and coffee available in the room.Plenty of towels and soaps etc in the bathroom.Snacks can be ordered up to 10pm at night.Full breakfast excellent with loads of tea and fresh coffee.Cereals yoghurts and juices.Nothing too much trouble for very friendly owner who made us feel most welcome.If you want a peaceful stay within easy reach of York then this is the place to go.

Good Points: The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Enjoyable stay.
Further Comments: Directions to the hotel were very good. Evening meal at local hotel was excellent. Close enough to commute to Park N Ride for York. Pleasant, quiet location, with friendly welcome.

Good Points: very good, thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Bad Points: parking was limited. If the accommodation was fully booked then I think there would be an issue with trying to get parked

Good Points: An eclectic mix of antiques and oriental themes.
Bad Points: Rear access is easy to miss and doesn't create a good impression.
Further Comments: This is a good venue for a short break. It is far enough away from larger towns/city to feel relly rural, yet very accessible for Thirsk, Harrogate and York. We would use it again.

Good Points: Host was extremely friendly and the full english breakfast was just right.

Further Comments: Enjoyable overnight stay in comfortable room. Very homely place in a converted farm. Even though the room faced the main road through the village, I slept very well. Very good for getting to the York park and ride which costs ￂﾣ2 return. Two very good pubs in the village - one just opposite the B&B. I went to the Station Pub which is a short 10 minutes walk away - this is a Chinese Restaurant and the meal there was superb and very reasonably priced.

Good Points: We likied the fact that we were offered an upgrade to an en-suite room with a king-size double bed for just ￂﾣ10 extra, on arrival, even though when we'd booked there was only a twin budget room available. We also liked the friendliness and accommodating nature of the Chinese lady who checked us in and out, offering us a chair to sit in the sun in the garden while we waited for our bus back into York and who offered me fruit for the journey as I'm pregnant. She was most understanding and acted professionally despite having two children to deal with, particularly at the times of check in and out.
Bad Points: We can't think of anything we disliked about the room, accommodation, staff or service we received that night/next morning.
Further Comments: We found it a pleasant surprise that we were offered an upgrade on arrival, though others may like to know this may be an option for them upon arrival. The curfew times, which were a range were a nice surprise also, although it may've been nice to know that the door to the hotel is locked at midnight but we can use a key if we come in after that and that people do that, beforehand so we could plan ouir night before arrvial, but this wasn't a huge problem. I think however, overall were we told all we did need to know before we arrived and when we made the booking.
