Good Points: it was cheap.
Bad Points: room was not clean. dirty dusty surfaces and stained carpet. 1 cup to make a drink in a double room? Worst cup of tea I have EVER seen in my life at breakfast.Was told the Bar was shut at midnight even though we were residents.
Further Comments: Shabby hotel, but the staff were nice. Would only stay there again if it was the cheapest and most convenient by some margin.

Good Points: The check in staff were friendly & helpful as were the brakfast staff,that I cannot fault, but dissapointingly to say, that was the only positive comment I have regarding our 2 night stay.
Bad Points: The hotel accommodation block was very tired and dated. The provisions in the room were less than basic, and the size of the room was a disgarce. How it is classfied as a double room I do not know.
Further Comments: Never again will we use the devere chain, I was shocked and dismayed following our stay at Harben House. Having used the de vere chain a number of times before I had a good idea of the standard of expectation, i couldn't have been more dissapointed! The rooms were the smallest I have ever encountered, the decor was tatty and dated with poor washing facilities,, and filthy carpets. It reminded me of a bedroom in a grotty highrise council flat quite frankly, and in no way mirrors the standard of accom I have experienced with devere in the past. We were given 1 towel between 2, with one miniture shampoo being the only washing aid that was left in our room. We were quite excited on the way to Harben as we were attending a local event, unfortunately our mood was marred on entering the worst hotel room I have ever had the misfortune in booking! Further to all of the above on leavng th hotel one morning we left a sign on the bedroom door for the room to be serviced, we returned at midnight that evening to find that house keeping had not bothered. Your feedback would be appreciated.

Bad Points: The room was very small with no room to walk around the bed , there was two of us staying in the double room , with only one set of towels and only one tea cup provided , i did not think this is very good at all , considering the time of which it takes to place a couple of extra items in the room !!!how do you expect two people to shower with only one large towel provided ?? i do not pay to stay in a hotel with items like this missing . On the morning that we checked out we went to the restaurant for breakfast the young lady took our room number and we just went and helped ourselves - fair enough , but trying to find a clean table , well lets just say there was not one , we had to sit on a dirty table , not very pleasant . I work in a catering establishment myself , and have done for ten years , from fast food , to hotels and restaurants , i dont expect a hotel of this nature to have such poor stands .

Bad Points: A larger room would have been welcome.

Bad Points: It was only set up for one person not two so the pain of going and asking for more towels cups etc

Good Points: Bed very comfortable with extra pillows available.
Bad Points: Water not hot enough to enjoy a bath.

Good Points: It has a nice Lounge area. The Brunch was superb
Bad Points: Rooom was far too small for 2 people. only 1 cup for water and 1 cup for tea making facilities
Further Comments: The Hotel seemed miles away from anywhere. We didn't drive so had to get taxis everywhere which was costly. I would like to have known that is was in the middle of a housing estate miles from anywhere.

Good Points: The staff were very friendly and helpful
Bad Points: The rooms are too small, the restaurant is like a canteen with a poor menu
Further Comments: I would have liked the opportunity to upgrade my room, however this option is not avaialable. I would have liked to see photos of the bedrooms on the website which showed a true likeness of the size. The 'coffe point' was very welcome indeed and an excellent idea.

Bad Points: windows did not appear to be soundproof. blinds were inadequate. No mirror and plug point together - needed for hair styling towels great - no flannel?

Bad Points: We wanted to sit in the bar in the evening, there was a christmas party on, we had no problem about that but the person running the party told us roudly that it was a private party. the hotel did not help in any way so we had to sit in the lobby.
