| Good Points: Friendly Staff, clean room with reasonable facilities. lovely old world charm. secure parking a bonus. |
| Bad Points: No lunch or food available from room service. |
| Further Comments: Disappointed that the hotel do not provide anything to eat during the day, we had to go out and the facilities for food in Keynsham are poor.
The room would benefit from hangers behind the bathroom door to hand our bath robes on.
The shelf in our room was poorly sited and got in the way whilst washing.
There was nowhere for my wife to sit and apply her make up.
That said we enjoyed the experience, a big plus was the friendliness of the staff. |

| Good Points: Welcome from friendly and helpful staff. Good food. |
| Bad Points: The bathroom had seen better days. |
| Further Comments: The hotel is an attractive old building and the rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished in a traditional style. The main attraction of the hotel is team running it who are young and enthusiastic and made us very welcome.
On the negative side, the enamel on the bath was worn through in places and the whole place would benefit from having some more money spent on it. Our room was a little small for the price paid. The surroundings of the hotel are uninspiring, but it is well located for visits to Bristol or Bath both of which are within a short drive or train journey - the hotel is in easy walking distance of Keynsham railway station. |

| Good Points: An atmospheric inn, steeped in history, nooks and crannies with highly personal, pro-active modern service |
| Bad Points: I thought the web-site suggested there was only on street parking when the hotel has its own car park. A small importnat detail as I was arriving late evening and may put others off. |
| Further Comments: If you like an accomodation experience that combines excellent personal service, admist an historical setting you won't be disapointed. The level of personality, information and detail the staff offer is excellent. It's refreshing to find the art of outstanding service is alive and well here. Produce is sourced locally and this is reflected in the quality of the breakfast I enjoyed as well as some of the local, organic beverages at available at the bar. I took a suite, which gave me a little more space; considering the age of the building and despite its' naturaly low ceilings it was very comfortable and well appointed.
I'll certainly return when I can and encourage those that want an authentic hotel experience, rather than a formulated one to do the same. |

| Good Points: the tower suite was very atmospheric and a little unusual. it was ideally located for the family party we attended on the saturday night at the keynsham rugby club |
| Bad Points: very little |
| Further Comments: in my opinion most people who travel and stay in hotels prefer a shower for its ease and convenience , although we booked knowing our room only had a bath it would still have been nicer with a shower.also with the location being on a blind and mostly busy junction it would be safer if the kerb was dropped on the entrance to the carpark to facilitate a quicker positioning into the parking spaces. |

| Good Points: Hotel with a lot of character. Large, comfortable room with all facilities. Staff were friendly and efficient. |
| Further Comments: The hotel is a converted 17th century manor house, and is full of character. The Eaves Suite is large and comfortable and has all the facilities required. The staff looked after us very well and their recommendations for local eating places were spot-on. The secure car-park could be difficult if driving a larger vehicle, but all in all, a very pleasant experience. |

| Good Points: Clean with friendly staff. Excellent meals, Very comfortable surroundings. Nice to relax in the evening in the lounge/bar. |
| Bad Points: The ensuite was adequate but a bit cramped and the flush fitted with a modification to assist the 400 year old plumbing was a bit noisey. This however would not put us off coming back. |
| Further Comments: We only had a three day break so could only stay for two nights. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The evening meal we had was excellent, and the breakfasts were also very good.
The room was spotless and fresh and adequetely equiped. The ensuite was a bit of challenge as we are not small people. However this did not spoil are stay. Had we had a longer stay we may have been short of space to keep extra belongings.
I suffer from a bad back and I think had I told the hotel about this at the time of my booking they might have been able to assist with a firmer matress. |

| Good Points: The building is charming and comfortably furnished. Heating during cold weather is effective and the staff are friendly. The food is excellent. It is ideally placed for visits to Bristol or Bath. |
| Further Comments: This hotel has character and would benefit from suitable images on the website to appeal to those seeking other than the comfort of a faceless modern hotel. It scores highly by the efforts and pleasantness of the staff. |
