Good Points: Very clean. Modern bathroom with bath and seperate walk in shower. Spacious.
Further Comments: The hotel was in a very peaceful location. Ideal for the quiet weekend away I was looking for. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The bathroom was spotless and gleaming, it looked fairly new. A far superior hotel to the Bookham Grange, where I stayed on my previous visit to this area. Will definately be staying here again on my next visit.

Good Points: we had a family room and it was massive. a double bed, a single and a camp bed and we still had hoards of room to move around. it really was huge.
Bad Points: the 3 flights of stairs to get to the room which was in the roof. not very practical with a toddler.
Further Comments: Our stay was lovely. i had read reviews about this hotel being dated and drab and so expected this. however our room was the biggest room i have ever stayed in with a gorgeous bathroom, all very clean and airy. we had a tv bigger than the one we have at home!! i cant praise the room enough.

Good Points: Clean and tidy
Bad Points: Small room, bed lumpy
Further Comments: I arrived late due to traffic. No answer to bell - had to ring on my mobile. Room smallish single, but adequate. Breakfast good - attentive waiter.

Good Points: I stayed in 2 rooms (I unexpectedly had to stay an extra night) and both seemed to have been refurbished recently and to a high standard. Rooms also comparatively spacious, the staff were friendly and efficient (quickest check-in ever!) and overall I felt the hotel offered excellent value for money in this part of the country.
Bad Points: The first 2 nights I was in the older part of the hotel and the sash windows didn't work properly such that I couldn't leave them open at night and I couldn't turn down the heating. The second room did have a thermostat on the radiator however and was fine. Breakfast a little disappointing - although full English available, otherwise there was just cereal and juice laid out ie. no fruit/pastries/ which one might expect from a hotel of the standard that this one is aiming for.
Further Comments: Overall, good value and I would definitely stay again.

Good Points: lovely setting, quiet, lovely building, restaurant nice
Bad Points: centrl heating badly needs bleeding in rm 24 s it wakes you very abruptly t 6am and doesn't stop for 2 hrs. Really really noisy. Could do with basic satellite packages as only 4 channels
Further Comments: Lovely hotel and staff, though really not at all suitable for people with disabilities. My husband has trouble with stairs, and all rooms are upstairs, and we were put in last room up 3 flights even though put in our booking that husband had problems with stairs. If you're fit, it's lovely. Bathroom high standard, room nice. Room 24 had really lovely view of garden but horrendously noisy radiator, ok if you need to get up at 6am!!

Good Points: Very clean, staff friendly and efficient, breakfast very good, garden view from room attractive
Bad Points: bathroom facilities need refurbishment, no stand up shower, dislike carpet in hotel bathrooms, floor would be better tiled, fan in bathroom very noisy at night
Further Comments: Directions from Internet from motorway easy to follow and better than AA route finder! Plenty of parking, pleasant grounds, staff were helpful and efficient, we had a big room with a good view over the grounds, house keeping standards were high and everywhere felt very clean. The fixtures and fittings seem dated and the bathroom would benefit from complete refurbishment eg. provide stand up shower facilities, tile throughout and remove bathroom carpet. Breakfast was excellent, evening meal was OK but expensive for what it was.

Good Points: Surpassed expectations.
Bad Points: Not a thing.
Further Comments: We chose the hotel primarily for its location and secondly for the private facilities for a single night stay. We were pleasantly surprised with all aspects of our stay which surpassed our expectations. All staff were very friendly and we would definitely stay here again.

Good Points: Good service at a fair price in a delightful setting.
Further Comments: The climb up the narrow stairways to the upper rooms would have been good to know about. If my elderly parents had been travelling with us (as they often do) this would have been a problem.
